and keep more potions to kill him
after gameover I just spam fire card to kill him, lol so the way I kill him is keep HP 100+ (or use shield potion) so you can survive when he attack 1 time.
then you must kill him until he can attack again
if u can't kill him in time, use Stun potion to stop him 1 turn (and hope u get some attack card next turn) or use Elf Paladin card that can Stun (80percent)
so if u got Weapon that can increase cri rate, it can kill this golem (he got 10 shield that hard to do damage to him)
just drink potion +2 element, cri potion, then kill him in one turn!

Warrior (crit 40per) + weapon cri35/cri80 per >>> So she can do a lot of damage cuz 100 percent cri rate >>> if can use +1 hit card, she gonna be OP with 3 hit count
Ska (hard to get) [summon Meteor x4 ATK] >>> So huge dmg that even he not fire element still hurt a lot [That game I got Earth Ska]
Strombringer (hard to get) (5 hit count) + ATK weapon or cri rate or Potion 100 per CRIT>>> after replay until got 66/72 cards collection I think he is the best attack card (cuz no need to be Leader, so you can Leader another card to rise his ATK or CRIT rate or AOE, lol)

I skip the majority of card rewards and aim for cards with either high attack, high defense, or counter attack. If i get always leader items I choose other cards and go more offensive, otherwise its a defensive battle.
Elf Paladins can carry you when you don't have good offensive choices.
Some of the cards stun and those are invaluable.
Surviving this fight seems really difficulty, but just bursting him down makes him very very easy. The 3x hit elf girl seems broken strong, even without items. This clear was without any items on her.
If I had a crit potion, I could have killed him in 1 turn.
but most of my win were done by maxing shield before fighting boss using the earlier stage.
He only attacked once, and I had so much shield it didn't even hurt me. Beat it with max health remaining. Easy.
I used 1 crit potion and 1 shield potion. I had roughly 110 shield and it gave me another 50 to stave off his ~150 attack. Just for funsies, not that I needed EITHER potion.
Tips:
As others have said, try to build a heavy hitter in Fire element.
With Luca, I always upgrade the starting Knight to a Fire Knight+ and equip items that grant Leadership and Attack.
Attack Signalists are another great unit to rank up.
A Commander (or Commander+) in the back line has a large affect on damage output.
Shadow Divines are a great way to add both offense and defense.
Stuns are a great way to prolong the fight.
Critical Hits double damage. Swordsmen and Warriors are strong because of it. Give them equipment to increase Crit chance.
Use Triple Elixir and Crit Potions to increase the output of your best attack. Do not waste them on anything else.
Do not accept every reward. If the unit does not strengthen the build, leave without it.
Thin your deck. It is very important to remove your Trainees. Equip Shoes on them if you cannot get rid of them to help cycle through to the better units.

my generic shield wielder suddenly have 30+ damage, which was buffed by berserker, knight and the commander on the back field. and since it was fire type, it dealt 50 damage to the last boss (stone golem, earth type, with 10 def)
lucky for me the fire drops complemented my strategy. consequently makes me question how can you beat the golem without relying on fire cards. I don't think pray to rng gods will do it.
I think it's bad game design when you are forced to build a certain way the WHOLE game just to beat the final boss, instead of just playing what you get and having fun with what RNG gives you. Knock on the Coffin Lid was the same way and I complained and complained, devs never changed it. This game is still in its early stages so hopefully it changes.
The best solution, IMO, is to make the final boss easier.....but also have, like, 3 or so versions of it, just like Slay the Spire so you have to be thinking about all 3 bosses at end game, but at the same time, you're not really screwed if you build wrong because they're not super hard.
And part of the problem is the way armor works. Armor takes away damage BEFORE buffs and multipliers are calculated, making his 10 armor insane and there's just no way to remove it (that I know of). I think a proper nerf to this boss would make the armor akin to Slay the Spire's plated armor, which would fall off by 1 for each time he's hit. Therefore a proper defense setup could beat him, it would just take a while instead of a lifetime.
Used a potion twice to make the next triple +2. And a potion to make all hits crit. EZ.

(Since it's so easy to OTK, or at least few-turns-kill, I think it'd be less important to NEED mostly fire cards if Flame Spirit was guaranteed. My suggestion, to the dev, is to make it somehow guaranteed we get a spirit of our choice at some point. Then again...I think the boss needs to be easier and more boss variety.)

Have you beat the early access game using different builds?
Yes, the game has limited plays at the moment, but it is not limited to one build. I get to the boss and win the majority of times now. I have only lost to him once in the last 10 runs.
