What happens when you can't unlock anymore?

I have 30 items ready to unlock, but as the cabinet is now empty are these lost forever? i.e. should I have been more selective with my unlock decisions?

You'll likely just hoard your unlocks until a patch adds more unlockables- if the vending machine is empty, you've unlocked everything the game currently has to offer.

urgh feel disappointment. was hoarding them allowing only like one or so a day now have like 130 unlocks, the machine is empty sigh
