Chips not changing when Reaper shows up

I don't know how the chip rng works, does anyone else?
Is it based off crops your currently planting, let's say you plant wheat, will the bot come with a wheat chip?
Or is it more based off what is your highest earning crop, and that's the chips you get?
I've had the game going for over 24 hours and every 30 minutes or so I check on the Chip bot guy, and he keeps giving me the same 4 chips OVER AND OVER AGAIN, I can't get him to change them unless I unlock a new plant.
For me, that's literally the newest crops that JUST got added so those are the only ones ever showing up in Reapers shop. Would anyone know how to get different ones to show up?

Oh ok i should have read through more discourse on this but im reading a lot everywhere that once you unlock ALL crops even the newest ones, the chips become truly random, but if you dont have all crops unlocked just yet you will only get high crop chips. Once i unlock the last crop (Yams) ill come back and share if im getting different chips finally.

make sure you don't have the padlock checkbox selected under the chips in the shop?, if you do they get kept the next time the shop comes around. A friend had that on, also at the moment it seems like you said about the last unlocked then true random after the last crop.

Nothing is locked. I JUST unlocked the last crop and now im getting lower crops for chips.

There is a feature to lock the 4 chip slots during a reroll, which brings the exact same chip back on the next trip. Presumably that is for cases where there's one you want but can't afford and you don't care about the others. It sounds like that might not have been the issue here, but that's what the other post is referring to.

My bad, I thought you were saying no crops were locked rather than no chips were locked.
