Antivirus alarm and game won't update or start.

Hello. I bought and installed the game today. I can say it looks pretty good. However, after about 1 hour of playing the antivirus did hit the alarm. After that, i cannot update or start the game due to "failure in download" and "steam write in disk error". What to do?

Hello, the antivirus warning is a false positive, the dev recently updated the game to include a mini launcher to help with users not being able to play the game and submitted it to the antivirus companies to get it whitelisted. For the steam write in disk error, uninstall the game and restart steam, that seems to fix it for others.

nope. It didn't work with me. Any other idea?

If you have a firewall installed, you could try turning that off and downloading the game. Another option might be downloading it to a different drive and then transferring it back to whatever drive you want it on, but I'm not familiar with how to do that.

If your Antivirus went off, it most likely quarantined a file that steam uses to update. You'll need to go into the antivirus and undo whatever it did. You'll have to look up "How to unquarantine file in <Your Antivirus>"

Or better yet, just don't use antiviruses since window's defender is good enough + safe internet browsing knowledge
