Beehives no longer working
I have been rearranging my farm today, and my beehives seem to no longer be producing any biofuel. I've got 6 arranged in a line, side by side. They top and bottom of the hives has been flanked by different types of bushes.

Previously the hives were separated by a row of bushes. I'll do some more testing and see if this is a bug, or if it's due to how the hives beehave mechanically

They seem to be extremely slow. I don't know if they need an excess amount of berries to function (Some of my hives have 80+ in range and the bar is barely moving), but for now I'm pretty determined that they are not efficient at all in terms of producing Biofuel.

I have determined what the problem was. I believe the bulblets pathing was blocked by the surrounding berry bushes. Sealing the beehive in on all sides made seems to break it entirely.

Mine are completely surrounded, and still working.

But I suspect that if you have too many close together, they slow each other down... and they are slow to begin with.

The hives are pretty worthless. I get more biofuel from the berries off the bushes.

I manged to fill a hive in 6 mins and 10 sec by putting a butterfly box beside the hive and all 9 berry bushes arranged side by side, right above the hive and both the hive box and the butterfly box is below the 5th and 6th berry bushes.

.... only 9 berry bushes? 0.o

I maxed out the coverage of the hive, and have 18 of each type around them... :P

It seems to me as well that the hives are slow and berries make better bio fuel. The benefit from hives is that one bulblet or butterfly visit reduces berry grow time 5 sec. So it help a bit

Okay, I have done a lot more testing, and started a new farm in the process.

It looks like you can not fully enclose beehives, they need an open space around them in order to accumulate. Furthermore, having overlapping beehives (area of effect overlapping) seems to radically slow down the rate at which the bulblets deposit in to the beehives.

I recommend only having 1 beehive around many bushes. They will continue to accumulate biofuel even after being "filled" so you're really not losing out on efficiency

I am at the river farm now, the bee hive no longer working. I put it in the middle, surrounded by berry bushes 3 space away from it, does not work. I surrounded it by berry bushes 1 space away, does not work. I put it above a cluster of 3X3 berry, does not work.

Edit: I found where the bulblets are, the damn thing are spread through out my farm! Sure enough, I put berry bushes all around the farm where the bulblets are, let them gather, put another one a few spaces to the left, because it is where where my berry farms are, erase the one on the right, let them gather at the new berry bush. Rinse and repeat until all bulblets safely made it to the berry farm. Now that all bulblets on farm made it to the berry farm where the Bulb Hive is, it now works again, giving me biofuel!

I called it the Great Bulblets Migration!

thank you! that has helped me a lot after i moved my bulblet place on the other end of the map !

pathfinding of the bulblets must overhauled, if there is no hive in the normal flying range
