Is it just me or are Animals + Fertilizers incredibly detrimental?

Not only do they eat my very high value crops like berries but the Fertilizer bots seem to have a bug that makes it fertilize only once and then it will have to recharge again, draining more and more biofuel.

Not only that, the animals eat through your crops so quickly, it reduces my biomass conversion rate quite badly. It took me 10 4X4 plot just to offset the food 6 animals eaten

Yeah, is there a way to stop feeding them other than completely removing the feeder bot? Or some way to choose which crops get used at animal feed?

Apparently it got fixed in 1.0.4, bot feeder select the lowest crop to feed animals and fertilizer works again as it should

bot feeder still doesn't 100% take the lowest crop despite having over 100 wheat :(
still is taking my higher/highest value crops to the feeder

and due to having so much wheat, it feels as though biofuel converters have reduced biofuel revenue

Yep, having animals is way more detrimental. Fertilizing things don't worth it at all for this moment. Or they nerf the fuel that consume the bots, or make Fertilizer Facility make Biofuel too, or having animals it's a completely waste.

I just gave them a dedicated area of land and didn't factor that space into my profits. They exist to look pretty and nothing else. The rest of the farm is for business.
