What exactly is focus mode

I imagine it's so you can focus on something other than the game. If it takes longer for plants to grow, it will take longer to harvest and a longer time for you to need to reseed the fields.

Doesnt this just seem a little silly? You're just halving the production of everything. Why not just let it complete and then check when you're done with your work. You're wasting time by turning on focus mode, seems a little useless to me.

Geeesh! My illiteracy stikes again! I somehow read "Doubles production times" as it would double the value or crops outcome.. I've been playing with it on for over an hour T_T

It would be better by double the time double the harvest either. so you interract not so often, but does not lose the production.

The point is that everything takes twice as long, so you need to pay attention half as much. It is a nice feature in my opinion, since the game isn't really meant to be focused on to begin with.

look, crops need about 10 minutes to grow up. and they do not do it simultaneously. It does not matter how long it takes. you have pay attention to this game every few minutes if you real play it. its not full idle game. I would be idle only after another people develope mods for full automatisation. but not before. you have invest much time to make your farm working well (updates, new crops, new buildings etc).

Personally, I like the mode. If I get a phone call, or want to do some chores, or just need to focus on the work I'm doing while wanting to listen to the music, which is oddly calming for me, I can just click the mode on and not worry too much about having to click on a seed and plant it again. Sure, if a plant takes 10 minutes to grow and harvested, then replants itself 6 times, that's an hour before I have to replant it, and with this button on 2 hours, but I'm not just focusing on a single plant. I'm focusing on, right now, nearly a dozen fields who all have different harvest times. If it's the difference between missing 1 replanting, or 2 replantings because I got busy with other ♥♥♥♥, I'd rather just miss 1 replanting. That might change when I get the robot building that replants seeds, but until then ~shrugs~. It works for some people, and other people don't like it. I wish more games did it.

But you're not missing anything, you're doing it when you get around to it... which would have been the same time whether focus mode was enabled or not. That's the point people are trying to make.

My question is are bots refueling based on time since last refuel or number of actions? If it's based on time, then using this mode could keep your bots from using all your biofuel sitting idle while you're distracted with something else (at least until you have the replanting bot).

They run on number of actions.

It just lets you play on your own pace :) Whether you want the game to play slower or not

You could argue that there's not much point, but since this is meant to be a comfy, relaxing game, a slower pace can be helpful for peace of mind, especially for OCD and ADHD. I have issues with OCD, and if I feel like a couple plants are going to run out or something, I will sit there and stare at it, not wanting to get up or do other things. It doesn't matter if I'll just replant it when I get back, it's nagging in the back of my mind.

Choosing a slower pace literally makes it more comfortable for me to get up and break away from the game. And it's an optional feature that doesn't impact people who don't want it at all.

I have been playing with it almost from the start cause I fell in the same trap -.- OMG I feel so stupid right now. That means for two days straight xD
