I wanted a place to organize all the information I have gathered from members of the community to help provide assistance to anyone experiencing issues. MisterMorrisGames is the solo developer of this game, and any official news/updates/troubleshooting will come from him. Please update your game to stay up to date on the latest patches.

Important Information About Saves

Because this game is intended to run for long periods of time, it is important to consider saving often and making backups of your saves on an occasional basis. The game does have precautions to keep your files safe, but if your game unexpectedly crashes, your save file may become corrupted and all of your progress will be lost. If you have an antivirus installed, mark the save folder as a safe location to prevent it from interfering.

Farm Layout and Multiples Saves

When you are creating a new farm/save, you have the option of picking between these two layouts. Once you have started the farm, you can't switch between the two on the same save. You will need to start/load a separate save to switch. Each farm is saved separately and you can switch between them using the load option on the main menu.

Where Can I Learn More About the Game Mechanics?

Searching the discussions or starting a new topic are two great ways to ask questions and learn more. You are also welcome to join us in the Discord or have a browse at this spreadsheet made by CloneOrNot[docs.google.com]. There are also several helpful guides over in the guides section that I recommend reading.

How Can I Move the Map?

You can use the right mouse button to click and drag the map, or use the middle mouse button to do so without cancelling your current action. If you are using a track-pad or otherwise don't have a middle mouse button, you can look into getting an auto hotkey application to assign this function to a different key. Check your device/hardware settings to see if this is already an option to you.

How Do I Unlock the Other Farms?

Expand your current farm completely on both sides and the next farm will unlock. Currently, the last two maps will unlock at the same time, so you only need to do this step on the first three maps.

What Are Splunk’s Signs?

Splunk's signs can be placed on top of farm plots to tell Splunk which seeds you want him to plant.

How Do I Get Giant Crops?

Giant crops have a random chance of spawning for tomatoes, pumpkins, and cucumbers. Giant tomatoes and cucumbers require a 2x2 plot or bigger, while giant pumpkins need at least 3x3 worth of space. Giant crops can be harvested by clicking on them repeatedly, however, some can only be destroyed by moving or destroying the plot underneath.

What Is Focus Mode?

Essentially, while focus mode is active, plants and berries will take twice as long to grow, making the game progress twice as slow. This is useful if you find you are having to micromanage your farm too often and would rather have more time to focus on other things. If you want the game to progress at it's normal speed, keep this setting off.

Can I Play with the Game at the Top/Left Side of the Monitor Instead of the Bottom/Right Side?

In settings, adjust the Taskbar or the Sidebar values until the game window is positioned on the screen wherever you would like it to appear.

I Have a Bug/Suggestion, Where Can I Post It?

The developer checks the discussions on a pretty regular basis, and is also active in the Discord. Please feel free to post about your issue or give suggestions in a new topic, or post it in the Discord in the appropriate channel.

How Do I Use the Twitch Integration?

The Twitch Integration Guide can be found here[docs.google.com]. For future reference, you can use the Documentation button in the Twitch Integration settings to find this.

Can I Run It on Linux?

While it is not natively supported, some users have found luck getting the game to run in a windowed mode. Check this topic for more info.

Can I Run It on Steam Deck?

I recommend reading this review to make a more informed decision on if you want to experiment with buying this game for Steam Deck.

Known Issues

Most issues can be resolved by reloading the game, but there are several other troubleshooting options available depending on your issue.

The Game Window Isn’t Filling the Monitor Correctly

The "R" hotkey should reset the window to it's default settings, while "T" will also look at different monitor properties. Please try these a few times.

The Game Has a Black/White Background

Try swapping the monitor, loading a save, or pressing the "R" or "T" hotkey.

The Game Is Causing Performance Issues on Higher Resolution Monitors

Fixes for this issue are currently being investigated. Try lowering the FPS and raising the on demand rendering in the settings.

Mac: The Transparency of the Game Isn’t Working Correctly

This is a known issue on Mac that can be fixed by restarting the game in most cases.

Achievements Are Not Unlocking Correctly

Try reloading your save through the main menu in the settings. Otherwise, verify your game files and restart steam if your achievements are not unlocking as intended.

Plot/Bot/Building Doesn’t Seem to Be Working

To fix this issue, try moving/bulldozing the affected object and replace it.

Twitch Integration Causes the Game to Hang and Won’t Connect

This issue is believed to be with Unity, and is being investigated.

Twitch Subscriber’s Doesn’t Include Founders

This issue is known and will hopefully be patched soon once game breaking bugs have been addressed first.

Other Troubleshooting Options

Whenever an unknown issue occurs, I recommend restarting/updating the game, verifying the game data, and/or restarting your computer. If the issue persists, please report it in a new post or on the Discord.
