UI sound effects
They are unpleasantly distorted, i'm guessing either the dB level in mixing was too loud or there is some comrpession artifact, it's probably something that should be fixed.

Adjusting the volume doesn't change it so the distortion is in the sound itself. In fact it makes it even more noticeable.

Hello. In game sounds should behave similarly to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDDw6e9GNH0
(Disclaimer: Some sounds were added for the trailer and aren't in the game.)
If they aren't behaving as intended, I would suggest verifying your game data through steam.

Even the trailer music has distortion. Further evidence that something is not being done right with the processing of the sound/music. Maybe some deliberate distortion effect is being misused. Regardless it's quite noticeable with the opening/closing menu.

That or they are just low quality free samples, maybe with a low sample rate.

Also, i don't have SFX when Rusty waters crops.

Admittedly it was just the first trailer I could find with the in game sounds without linking gameplay from a channel I don't recognize. Some sounds in the trailer aren't in the game. My intention was to provide a comparison in case your game sounds different for some reason.

Right i guess i misunderstood that part but the point still stands, i can safely claim that the quality of the sound is not right and that it is most likely on the game's end.

It's not a gamebreaker, it's slightly unpleasant and decently noticeable if you pay attention to it. It's not an attack on the game, it's just basic sound engineering. I'm mainly pointing out the issue if the dev feels like improving it.

I was experiencing the same issue. Turning the app volume in Windows Sound Mixer (not the in-game settings!) to less than 100% stopped it from crushing the output.
