Unlocking New Farms

So, everything I've read says that to unlock the second farm, I need to unlock all of the land space on the farms on both sides. I unlocked all of the space on both sides, but the next new farm is still locked for me? I even utilized all of the space to see maybe it hasn't processed it yet, but no luck. The next new farm type is still locked to me. Anyone else having this issue?

Did you ever end up figuring this out? I am on my first farm and I did unlock the Flower Swamp farm a while back but no other farm has unlocked for me since. I have unlocked everything in the first farm.

Edit: does it require me unlocking all of the farm tiles on each farm to unlock the next farm in line? That is what I'm currently trying to do.

Yes. The swamp unlocks the desert farm and the desert unlocks the last 2 farms.
