How to Edit your save file
Find your save file
Go to the path: C:\Users\(your_user_name)\AppData\LocalLow\NANOO COMPANY Inc_\Tower Of Babel and SaveFile.es3 is what you want. (Save a copy before)

Edit it
link [es3.tusinean.ro] is the editor to decrypt your save file.
sksnrpdl#eo#kr is the password you should fill in (might change in the future idk:).
Choose your save file and try to open editor, if you cant just download the decrypted file.
Find the value
Search for AmountGold in the decrypted file, you will find a list of elements within that brackets; make sure "fakeValueActive" is followed by false, now you can start edit your gold.
Two elements
The value of gold is determined by "currentCryptoKey" and "hiddenValue" , perform the XOR operation and you will get the final value. Now:

hiddenValue = your_desired_value XOR currentCryptoKey
Calculate for the hiddenValue based on your desired value, just search for an XOR calculator on web and do so (Dont forget to set everything in base10). Change the hiddenValue only.

BTW
The gold is not universal for different characters, so there are different currentCryptoKey and hiddenValue for different characters, you might need to try which one work for which.

Save it
Now save your decrypted file, choose it for Encryption in the editor and download the encrypted file, rename it to SaveFile.es3 and place it in your path. Now you should enjoy your gold in game :>

Thanks a lot for the guide! Just curious: Do you by any chance know how to disable vsync in this game? I would like to change the game speed to make it faster but vsync is making this impossible :(

Download MelonLoader, install it for this game; Download the UnityExplorer link [github.com] and put these files into your game directory. Now you get access to everything, speed could be changed on the top right.
And the method doesn't work it just adds a fresh save file with 0 progress when the old one is replaced

Works for me :D

Yea, doesn't work. Just gives you a blank save.
Got it to work, overlooked changing all "3" things to "base 10" in the XOR calculator.

My decrypted save file is still encrypted when downloaded.
Now all we need is the game to not be horrible.

If you fill in the password correctly then the decrypted file you download should be readable in txt, if not reply how you did it
I retried this morning and the file decrypted. I follow the steps. I change the hidden value only. Save. Encrypt. Launch game and I dont have the new value but in the game folder there is a duplicate SaveFile.es3.

There shouldnt be duplicate in your save file path, your new file should replace the old one, but you want to keep a copy of the old one in case the new doesnt work

Ok. When I search "AmountGold" it only finds one result. I'll try again later today. I only have one character.
Funny thing. The gold was easily modified in the demo.
Ok. I just tried again with no luck. Gold still doesn't change. I switched through the 3 available characters but the gold is the same on all 3. To calculate, do i change the numbers in the "II input" until the output equals the gold amount i want to have? Do I change the crypto key too?
Thanks for posting this. How did you figure out the password?

Actually they made a ninja update and it is now. Also, I tried your solution just now for fun mainly and thought the instructions were great. Had no issues with the process - except it triggers an exception in the log file, breaking a validation they must've added to thwart your efforts.

The developer is obviously reading this...the following is for him:

You did the same thing with the topic related to our demo progress. While I have no desire to play games with edited save files beyond tinkering because it ruins the fun, demo progress is a different story. That's OUR progress. OUR DATA. We earned it, we deserve it if we want to use it. And to make matters worse, you hide and make updates omitted from the patch notes instead of engaging your customer base on very valid concerns.

So, I want you to know that you deserve every single ounce of criticism and negative review - include my own, which I will be promptly changing. You went out of your way to make these changes because your game doesn't have enough content to stand on its own 2 feet. Had I played more than a single character and noticed that you repeated skills and made us pay to level them 3x's, I would've never left a positive review in the first place and refunded like so many others.

Shame on you. Maybe if you put as much effort into content as you did into encrypting fake gold in a single player $9 throw away game before releasing into EA like Conquest Dark, you would've easily doubled your profits. Instead, you alienated over half of your player base for what, $50k? That's not even worth getting out of bed over.
