Um, what? Steam would be the third party application to launch it if it was on Steam.
I really can't understand the obsession some have with having everything on Steam. If something goes wrong, then poof, everything is gone, or otherwise messed up. Like take Lost Ark a ways back, a whole mess of people got false flagged for cheating, which then affected other games they may have played through Steam.
Personally, when it comes to service based games, if I can play it without Steam, that's what I do. Unless it was a game made by Valve, Steam in all these cases would be something extra, and the more extra stuff you add, the more things that can go wrong.
If you're blaming ALLM for Kritika Global, that wasn't them, it was Com2uS, which purchased a controlling interest in ALLM to get Kritika. Now ALLM seems like it may be no more, as Valofe I believe purchased all of their IP.
Saying that ppl won't see popularity of course they will see once they log in, the only difference is that they lose ppl that won't bother with it if they don't see popularity before installation (mostly when its not on known platform like steam). In MMO popularity is the most important.
It would be alright if it was downloadable without installing something else but like that its no way for me and rip because I was looking forward for the game but well lets wait for Blue Protocol.
I'm not coping, as I don't play online games through Steam unless I have to. Just because some people only want to play a game if it's on Steam, doesn't mean everyone feels that way.
Why don't bring the game exactly way that was before, but with less predatory pay to win?
You're in for a unfortunate surprise
