I wanted to like this game, I really did. I greatly enjoyed the friday the 13th game and understood that leagal nonsense was the underlying killer of that game.

However the dev's seem to be allergic to doing the right thing

As I write this on May 15, 2024, the game has been out for about 260 days. The game costs 40 dollars, and there are about $114 dollars worth of dlc for sale.

I like playing the killer role in games like this, Jason in friday the 13th, dbd killers, that sort of thing, however playing the family here has been the most miserable experience once the fun learning curve was over. Effective family gameplay against anything but brand new victims comes down to careful patrolling and not chasing too far from your assigned objectives. you are supposed to be playing deranged hillbilly killers, not npc's in a metal gear game. When playing bubba, and trying to guard a valve I had this series of events happen

Try to chainsaw a crawlspace to prevent easy escapes from the area
get backstabbed, interupting the destruction, leaving the crawlspace open even though I was 90% of the way through the animation
watch the victim walk over to the valve
watch the victim open the valve
watch the victim walk back over to the crawlspace and go through it
regain control of my character a few seconds later.

The devs also have no idea what they are doing from a casual vs competivive standpoint

They claim the game is meant to be casual fun and not a sweaty competitive game
To facilitate this, you only get 1 talent tree build, even though you can use multiple 'loadouts' of that tree to shuffle your stat points around a little
Tier 1 talents are absolute garbage when compared to tier 3 talents and require a lot of games to level, expecially if you play family and don't choose a character who can farm xp easily.
Re-rolling the talent tree is a nightmare if you want 2 (or heaven forbid 3) random perks to line up for you. you have to click on each spot on the tree with a second or two delay between them, starting all over if the random perks don't line up (you routinely hear about people spending upwards of a half an hour doing this)
The end result is you are penalized for doing anything but looking up a strong meta build for your character, taking that build and never ever trying something new because you could spend a half hour re-rolling just to have a new group of terrible level 1 talents

This Game Is Definitely Not Worth It. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Game Has Been Out For Months Now With Hardly Any new Content Added. This game has overpriced characters, loads of bugs and glitches and insane loby timings. The devs think that adding a 3 minute non-stackable abandon fee will fix their game. They didnt include the fee for leaving actual matches. This games a mess and is overpriced. I played this game for hours on playstation before re-buying it here. Nothings changed and if anything the games got worsre. This Is Not worth then anything more then 8 pound / dollars. Sad to see a game with loads of potential ruined. Pleas save your money.

Friday the 13th: The Game makes this looks like an absolute joke, & that game had two years of support tops. I don't understand how a game from nearly a decade ago had more of a fun gameplay loop with a smoother combat system even with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ping on wooden routers, these new devs don't have the same mentality as old Gun which was keeping in fun tech & other useful glitches that helped balance out the gameplay instead of rage patching stuff for "visual clarity", the devs have stated they don't care if the game is balanced, they want it to be "fun". Well guess what, fun tech glitched up games that is balanced is also fun.


Gun is a bunch of manchildren that sit on Reddit all day & will rage ban/delete your message at the slight sign of any criticism, all that needs to tell you about these devs, they ARE NOT the same people from F13, besides Wes.


RETURN TO F13 (on consoles), REJECT TCM & DBD
