Holy Forge and Metal

I've managed to get the metal and the Holy Forge in 2 sessions. I've managed to get the Holy Forge before the metal in about 30 sessions. Is this intentional? Frustrating to not be able to get the Battle Hammer (that was my reward for using the metal at the Holy Forge). It's a sweet weapon. Unless I can unlock it through a card I haven't unlocked yet. I managed to get the metal and the Forge in the second round and made it to level 10 during an endless session. Was very easy to kill anything that came up. Unfortunately I was brought low by very bad card choices and ended up with only 5 max health and died.

If it's intentionally a very rare thing to not be able to use the Holy Forge...well, I can live with it. Just seems very odd to me to not be able to travel back to the forge once you find the metal. Wasted cards.

It's more random than intentional, but sure. OP, you sound like you got a bum draw those 30 times, as it's more or less a 50/50 chance whether one will show before the other. Ideally I'd like to see there be several encounters that use the ore (and come with additional ore cards).

So I received a card after killing the (Queen of Scales?) and it was called Blacksmith. I'm hoping that the Metal Ore will be used for this card. I haven't been able to get this card in endless mode yet. Hopefully though.

@Bomoo: I love the idea of more encounters using the ore. That would be amazing! Don't wanna see more ore cards though. Just 1 Metal Ore card and a bunch of other encounters that would use the Metal Ore. Would make the Ore card worth saving past the Holy Forge. Maybe use it as a type of trade for food/health/max health/blessing etc. such as the Maiden card? I would love to have options like that. It would make me sit and ponder my options for a long time.

If I find another use for the Ore (hopefully the Blacksmith card) I will post it here.

BTW I haven't unlocked all the cards yet. So IDK if the Ore card is usable for more than just the Holy Forge.
