Totalbiscuit did a WTF is Hand of Fate
And his impression is highly favorable saying that the game is more than the sum of its parts (namely the combat). Given how large his viewerbase is, there will more than likely be over 200k views, which could translate to a boost in sales.

So happy that TB did a WTF on this. For him to say that he likes it is huge because he does not like rogue-likes as a genre. I would be surprised if this did not translate into sales.

What are you talking about dude loves Rouge games.

The problem this game has, is that its really difficult to describe it to other people. People watching it on youtube will certainly translate to sales.

your salt tastes delicious. Sure a youtuber's videos may not always translate into a bump in sales, but it IS a proven factor. I am currently a little too lazy this morning to look for it, but at one point a dev posted a chart of players playing the game from whatever analytics they use on steam that literally only coincided with the release of TB's WTF is of that product. It was a very significant bump.

Also, if You've cared to look, I've been around these forums specifically for a while so it isn't so much as an invasion as I was already here.

The fun thing, i normaly don't like him ; But in this WTF i have the same view on the game as him.
The same pros and same minus.

I'm surprised he's at the 6th boss at 5 hours of game, and I'm on the 5th guy after less than 2 hours

It took me 7 hours personally, mostly because I am far more interested in unlocking cards than progressing in story mode. I don't really build my deck to win, I build it to unlock stuff.

Gotta admit, I ran into this game in my discovery queue the other day... saw "defckbuilding" as the first word in the description blurb, "Card game" in the user-defined tags, and watched the trailer. Clicked "Not Interested" immediately after the trailer ended.

There's a reason for that: Whoever did the editing for the trailer made it look like the player had no control in the combat phase. As well, I couldn't tell WTF was going on with the cards. Obviously, I haven't been on these forums so I dunno if anyone else has pointed this out. But you guys desparately NNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED a new trailer. Also, another critique on the trailer: It doesn't last the full 58 seconds, there's ~11-12 seconds of black screen at the end.

Thank goodness TotalBiscuit did a "WTF is...", as this game is right up my alley and I'll be buying it not long after clicking "Post Comment".

You're not going to be too popular with that opinion. TB is a GOD among PCmasterace. His video will MOST certainly drive sales up.

He gave this game a HEARTY recommendation, which is why I'm here about to purcahse this fine game.

Thank you for the trailer feedback!

People who say "This game is hard to explain - youtube videos help," are absolutely right. We probably couldn't have found an audience for this game in the pre-youtube era.

TB has a pretty big following and I have ended up getting some games due to his reviews before myself. I think this game is great and well worth the price, but I also think it can be hard to describe and many people will shy away from it because they think it's another "card game". If there isn't a demo available (not sure if there is...I just bought it...didn't check to see if there was a demo), making a demo might be a good idea...so people can get a chance to try the game out and see how it plays. I was very "pleasantly" surprised by how fun the game was.....What I saw before I played, versus what I actually experienced while playing it was very different (in a good way). That makes me think a bit more could possibly be done to market the game. Of course lots of posts about how great the game is, youtube videos showing gameplay etc will all help as well.

You mean the scumbag that consistently misses tinted rocks with a hard on for the devil room?

Yea, I watched his video, but I actually made my decision to purchase when Jesse made his own fan friday video.
