The chances of drawing the items or having them appear in the shop is unchanged (I think), but cards like twisted canyon, the one that lets you spend 12 food to buy a helm, or the goblin dude that gives you a shield if you don't have one... will now always give you the 'correct' item.
Think that could work with the dragon set? I finished a very long endless run and didnt got it, I might try to get it on a late game story deck
I don't think so. It only works with the skeleton set because there are enough items that are not weapons/helmets/shields to pad out your deck. i.e. you fill your deck with armor, gloves, artefacts and rings.
With the dragon set... I guess you could try and have as many categories as possible with dragon only items. But I think you're still going to have to have a few categories that you need to get lucky with. I'm thinking maybe a deck of all dragon items + enough rings to pad out the deck, then you just have to get super lucky with finding the dragon ring....
For warlord 3 and the other item set achivements, I would also suggest that you re-enter stores that could sell the needed items (any store except priest, healer or jeweller) as their inventory refreshes each time (careful of repeated ambushes tho).
This worked for me but it took quite a while (even with a rigged deck); at least 15+ times of refreshing, which really pushed my resources to the limit.
Hope that helps!
Edit: I did it on King of Plague btw, he's a late boss, his curses are half-beneficial (they make battles faster which also saves time), and the winding trail cards could also lead to equipment draw cards.
It hadn't occurred to me that shops would refresh like that. The gold tokens the Dagger gives you seem like they might be helpful if I follow that technique. I haven't beaten the King of Plague myself since I have the Kraken locked into my deck, and haven't been able to beat it in Endless.
They don't refresh forever, they keep refreshing with the items that are on top of your deck, be careful so you don't keep re-entering a shop thinking the king of skull items will magically appear there. Refreshing a shop is useful but not too much
Actually, when I was refreshing it, I saw enough variety in the item stock at a tinkerer's (mostly rings and artifacts still in the deck) that I believe the inventory is more or less random (approximately 20+ items),
As I also mentioned it took me 15+ times of refreshing, even I was doubting my chances of getting the right item, but in the end it all worked out.
So I haven't tried this trick yet, but if the items are coming from the top of the deck and you can afford it... you can always buy them. And keep buying. Surely once you've bought the item, they are no longer on the top of your deck.
However you have to be quite rich, cause even if you sell the items again you lose money. And I assume once they are sold, the items go back into your deck (not sure if they go to the bottom, or if it is random).
That works, thats how I ALMOST completed the dragon set on a lion prince run, never found the dragon ring tho
