Red sprinkler

What's the difference between the normal watering can and sprinkler and the red versions?

The red watering can holds a double amount of water, and I believe the red sprinkler also covers a greater area than the normal version.

Blue Watering Can = 4 plants watered (Cost: N/A)
Red Watering Can = 16 plants watered (Cost: 160 stone = 40 coins)

Blue Sprinkler = 8 usuable squares (Cost: 5 electronic scrap [140 stone = 35 coins] & 10 scrap [40 stone = 10 coins])
Red Sprinklers = 20 usuable squares (Cost: 12 electronic scrap [336 stone = 84 coins] & 22 scrap [88 stone = 22 coins])
