Milk

I can't get the cow to provide milk. I've had her for about 3 or 4 in-game days, now. Do I need a bucket, or something?

think you need to get the milk thing from the guy by the restairant, cant remember the name of it but theres a milker after you get the grapejuice machinei think?

I had issues with my cow, she eats a lot more feed (grass) than I expected.

If she runs out of grass, she resets (and milk production resets from what I can tell) so you either need to stockpile grass, or plant more (8 works for me, 4 didn't cut it for me).
Note only you will use your scythe to cut grass (farmhands will not manage this for you).

Then when she's ready, she'll have a full milk bar, and you can milk her (and then put the milk in your chest). Your farmhands will not milk her, so you have to do this yourself.

So keep her fed, don't let her run out of food, cut grass to be sure of this, then after a day or so (shouldn't be more than 2) you click her to milk her.

The next day or two after that, Bessie popped up with milk. Finally. I was worried my game wasn't showing me something.

I had to fence my cow in over by the feed box to get her to produce milk. She was over by the chickens and not producing. It took me 10 minutes to herd her over to her feed box with fence pieces...

You need at least 6 plots of grass for the cow. I had 3 cows and planted about 24 plots of grass and got lots of milk.
