I'm in Chapter 3... I don't know how you and the OP managed to go in circles but try not going in a straight line. Go in every corner, dark hole etc you can see/find.
Try to take in the world, let your eyes enjoy what they are seeing. This is a lovely experience... it isn't just about finding your way out.
If you run into rooms you've been to before, do the opposite.
Man if "walking around a building" is too much of a challenge, video games may not be for you.
To everyone reading this thread - there is now dev console you can use to enable flying through walls mode.
To use dev console, use tilde key (top left, left to "1") and type "photoMode"
Just added unlock command to dev console - it will be available in the next update.
With it, you can use "unlock 2" or "unlock 6" to unlock more chapters.
listen, level 3 it's baby difficulty. as some guy said, how can you get lost?
level 1 is kiddo difficulty.
level 2 and level 4 are normal difficulty.
i'll update that comment when playing 5 and 6.
i'm exploring every room, and using a pen and paper to make me some anotations and that's all. i'ts not a difficult game c'mon
tip: try to make a paper scheme of the rooms you visit. you don't need to do a artwork, only few squares and lines and you'll get a functional map. that will help you a lot.
finally i shared my pen maps as game guide.
feel free to use them, but honestly, all people can beat at least 4 chapters withouth help.
I just finished Chapter 5. I'd say that last bit for Chapter 5 was tricky (the bits with the lines all over) but besides that, I was able to find my way through without much issue. Didn't need help and didn't need to watch any videos nor write anything down.
I can understand getting lost easily, but just keep going and you will find your way out. If I am able to do it (I can't map anything down in my head and easily forget) then I am sure you guys can do it too.
