No offline play?

Whenever I attempt to play offline I am stopped after selecting the new game. The prompt tells me I am unable to earn trophies/achivements offline, which I don't care about, when I try to continue, I am looped back around to the main menu. It plays fine when online however.

You're welcome, specifically it's talking about psn trophies, so it might be a bit of holdover code.
