Very informative. ;-)

Unfortunately, any special effects on GG drastically reduce FPS and hugely increase load times so there is a fine balance each user must find.

Very true. With GG still in development I hope that this will be less of an issue in the future. Especially the loading times. Lightmapping should in theory be more performance effective than dynamic lighting but you can never count on that in GG... I suppose one always has to experiment.
