Apologies for jumping into someone elses topic. However, seems this will get your attention, i have a question.
I never see any confirmation from Gameguru Devs about this.
Are we actually allowed to decompile the .exe using a third party tool, to change the logo and window name. And still commercially sell it?
I have seen numermous threads about this. But no real Confirmation from gameguru Devs regarding this.
Why would you need to decompile the .exe to do that? You just swap out the picture, and yes it's allowed.
If he means the icon i think someone did find a program that does it quite easily
I mean, the icon and the description of it (name). Yes.
So if you tab out, it will show your icon, and not the gameguru icon, aswell as not showing "Gameguru map editor" for the window.
I posted here to try and get lee's attention.
This is what i want to know... Confirmation that this doesnt effect the commercial rights, as decompiling would normally violate a softwares terms of use policy.
It allows you to change icons etc by browsing the .exe
Thankyou very much! :)
