OUTSTANDING BUGS:

1) Desktop icon doesn't work properly.
2) Xbox 360 controller doesn't work with MKXP version unless in DirectInput Compatibility mode.
3) In Crescent Canyon, if you interact with a crack that you can use a mining bomb on and stay in the dialogue window, you get knocked back by any boulders that roll down your tile. This allows you to blow up cracks you aren't standing next to, and it also prevents you from getting knocked out of the map if a boulder hits you at the bottom.
4) World Map menu image doesn't update throughout the game as the actual World Map changes.
5) Traveling Merchant's Wagon doesn't have a map marker.
6) Empty party slots change to Giant Moa sprites after using a Camping item.
7) Crashes constantly while fishing on a Mac Laptop OS X El Capitan 10.11.5. Most frequent with deluxe, luring and master rods.
8) Thick Sword weapon weight does not match weapon description.
9) If the bomb timer runs out in Mt. Gerra, the message calls it Mt. Gulg instead of Mt. Gerra.
10) Assumed gender is male in the ending cutscene.
11) The kraken's boss battle music only plays if you have the gorgon head but choose not to use it. If you don't have it at all, it just uses the area's regular battle music.
12) If you have tons of items, the "all" section of the item list will only show the first 34 pages or so. The rest are there, but they're invisible and you can still scroll through them.
13) Characters revert to their default colors in a few places:
-In the old mine, when you take the staircase down or hit a barrel, or when you hop out of the minecart
-Airship ride to Pandora for the assassination mission
-Airship ride after choosing not to fight Hannibal alone
14) World Map menu has water colors swapped. Also, there is a gap in the shallow water along the southern coastline of the Southern Contient.
15) Water (dark and light) is switched in the Pre-Intro scene and the Airship Desert scene.
16) Bog Monster follows Crystal Cave enemy scaling (but should not).
17) Lone tile of "dark" water inside "shallow water" to the northeast of Gaia along the coastline.
18) Steel Series Stratus XL controller doesn't work with MKXP version.
19) Cutscene menu can show "No cutscenes available" in place of first cutscene.
20) Game sometimes doesn't write a complete .ini file.
21) If you have characters on stand-by in the party-options and leave the Abyss, the gear they were wearing before entering the abyss gets destroyed.
22) Strange bugs in the Abyss if playing with only a single character.
23) Possible issues with AGI changes with difficulty when running away?
24) Monk can't wear "Heavy Boots".


REPORTED BUT CANNOT BE RECREATED:
1) Rare errors still exist with the Great Southern Marsh rafts.
2) If you accept+decline at the first achievements screen, it crashes the game.
3) Can acquire two copies of the Gorgon's Head.
4) Can repeat the same Mystic cave multiple times to complete the Mystic Cave.


NEEDED STRATEGY GUIDE REVISIONS:

1) Add description of how Crystal Dungeon enemies scale in level with dungeon completion.
2) Correct the name of the Dark Succubus (Incubus)
3) Tier 5 magic for Black Magic is missing in the Magic section.
4) Screenshots in the early chapters of the game are from older versions of the game.
5) Knight's Warcry/Zeal skill descriptions don't match game.
6) Guide is accurate when it comes to increases of MGD and PRE with difficulty.


FIXED IN EIGHTH UPDATE - LIVE

1) "Inconspicuous Thief" in Alfheim with the line "you look like a man who knows the underbelly of a city." needs to be modified for proper gender pronoun.
2) Rufus after saying you're here for the bounty and don't accept his bribe has text that needs to be modified for the proper gender pronoun.
3) Ethereal +50 AGI state for battle instead of 5 turns.
4) Bookshelves in Borea Inn have improper italicization.
5) Leviathan's Heart changes heart when interacted with from different directions.
6) Opah fish gave MP +250 state.
7) "Blaze hat" is missing capitalization on the second word.
8) Gray Mage unlearns Ice 5 at class upgrade.
9) Make "Load Game" option default after unlocking New Game +.
10) Hedge Maze Keeper dialogue for maze completion triggers without entering the hedge maze in New Game +.
11) Daedalus asks if the player wants to give his puzzle another go even though it is the first time talking to him on a New Game+.
12) Elven Enthusiast's text in Alfheim House talks about visiting Atlantis in New Game + if you visited in a prior game, even if you haven't in the current game.
13) All character classes in Abyss have the same number of skill slots.
14) In New Game +, the Master Fisherman acts as if you completed the quest if you completed it in a previous game even if you didn't do it in the current playthrough.
15) The cinematic mentioned Hannibal being dead, avoid Hannibal completely in current playthrough.
16) Ending cinematic plays the Miner's Cave bit even if you only entered the cave and never grabbed any items nor talked to any NPCs.
17) Dark Ward mechanic / description / guide out of sync.
18) Spartan Camp can list 8/4 treasures gained.
19) Ice Cave Puzzle Bug
20) Monster Remains Collector storage can be used to duplicate items.
21) Gender is not taken into account in the Ending cutscene.
22) The "Possession" window in the merchant disappears when you buy something. You have to leave the menu (go back to choosing between "Buy" and "Sell") and come back in order to see it again.
23) Vampirism change makes the Marsh Beast weak since it doesn't have enough INT to do more than 1 damage with it.
24) Description for Desert Rock is inaccurate.
25) Lucky's text in ending scene for Casino players regardless of whether you visited the Casino during the game.
26) Ability to bypass ending cutscene.
27) Can skip Cutscene #7 by skipping Doria and going straight to Helios after Mt. Gerra.
28) Can rarely run through boulders by going up in Crescent Canyon.
29) Alexandrian Outpost Guards can be avoided by standing still.
30) Nothing changes in Oakwood if all Pandoran soldiers are defeated after entering the Sewer.
31) When using a "Defend" macro, characters under status effects that remove control from the player, like stun, paralyze, and stone, still take their turn first. This is usually harmless but it also applies to characters who are confused.
32) Moving a character to the first slot via the party menu and then saving will change character costumes upon loading.
33) After completing the Abyss, all characters changed costumes.
34) Costume changed after being stoned in Abyss.
35) Costume change for recolor characters after using a camping item.
36) Item stats in the right window of the synthesis shop do not update in real-time as the cursor moves.
37) Can not unlock the achievement Godlike gear in-game.


FIXED IN SEVENTH UPDATE - LIVE

1) Problems when rearranging save files for New Game +.
2) Selectable New Game+ screen.
3) Correct "Q+W" text in Asgard Sewer puzzle reset.
4) Can exploit the monster remains collector storage system to "copy" items.
5) Avid Submariner achievement doesn't work properly across multiple games.
6) Revised Steam achievements & leaderboard infrastructure.


FIXED IN SIXTH UPDATE - LIVE

1) Reduce overall lag.
2) Thieves cannot use Odin's Spear or Hermes' Lance.
3) Stupefy doesn't work properly.
4) Can walk on a wall section near the first treasure in the Ancient Ruins.
5) Avid Fisherman achievement is broken.
6) Status buff window doesn't hold more than 38 buffs.
7) Update Backstab description for two turns of +100% CRT.
8) Locke does not have dialogue under certain situations during the Guild Super Bosses.
9) Can not chat with the half-succubus' husband to get him to return to her. New Game +.
10) Targeting a spell on a dead party member does not display their name in the target bar.
11) Dead party members buffs remaining turns don't change.
12) Steam leaderboards' difficulties appear 1 level off.
13) Can skip "bridge will collapse" text for a Mines of Dvergar bridge and be unable to cross the bridge unless you go back and activate the text.
14) Opening the tutorial while already in the tutorial will break the game.
15) Descriptions need to be on two lines rather than one.
16) Any battle that ends with Merton and immediately rests afterwards reduces HP by 100 after resting.
17) Character sprites changed to Moas.
18) Bug with the Submersible to Boat transformation while trying to dock.
19) Rarely, the Ice Cave Number puzzle tiles occupy the same slot forcing you to reset.
20) Encounter and defeated counters can become offset without running from a battle.
21) Display error on EXP screen when equipped with EXP boosting equipment.


FIXED IN FIFTH UPDATE - LIVE

1) New Game+ error with the Cave of the Mystics.
2) Dancing Daggers only appears under the "All" section of the skills menu.
3) Defender Robe is still known as Aegis Robe in the Synthesis Collection.
4) Giant Killer can CRT.
5) Can freeze Pandora dungeon by knocking on cell door from outside.
6) Encounter areas can become mixed (E.g. fighting sea creatures on land).
7) Fishing sometimes uses the wrong bait.
8) Make it easier to view game options (without having to restart or invalidate achievements).
9) Moa Forest and Docks achievements don't work across multiple games.
10) Remove physical modifiers in Bestiary window.
11) Logic errors in the Deserted Island Cave quest if you've acquired the Blue Moa.

FIXED IN FOURTH UPDATE - LIVE

1) Fire, Thunder, Ice, Wind, and Dark Rings protect against Blindness. Fixed so they don't.
2) Create a clearer ordered and display of all states applied.
3) Add auto-"fast forward" option to the System Menu.
4) Bestiary information doesn't require scan. Fixed.
5) Can buy an unlimited number of Mystic Keys. Now the number is limited to 9.
6) Snow Snug slime is hidden in inventory.
7) Problems with Map Shards in New Game + and the Abyss. Fixed.
8) Can enter the Leviathan early by landing submarine on the Boulder tile.
9) Error with Thor's Hammer if stolen previously in New Game +.
10) Character descriptions at Selection screen are out-dated.
11) Yellow blocks aren't reset in Dread Woods block puzzle if you leave & return.
12) Grotesque Reward is not reset in New Game +.
13) Black Mage portrait changes when entering Pandora Dungeon.
14) Can become trapped in conversation with Cid after 3rd Tier of the Hunter's Guild.

17) Can't fulfill crafting of perfect bait if you already have 99. Uses ingredients but doesn't allow you to buy more.

19) Steam Cloud loses capitalization of save files and causes issues with New Game +.
20) Recipe for Thin Fishing Pole will never be given if you get the Old Fishing Pole from the Master Fisherman. Fixed.
21) Opening Game Options screen will have Blue Moa appearing in the background.
22) Change name of Incubi because they have a female sprite.
23) Can fight ocean monsters on bridges. Now, it has the proper battle background.
24) Encounters can be turned off through some combination of the encounter rate rings and the Abyss.

27) Game freezes after every battle for a rare number of users. Converted all .mp3 to .ogg. Fixed.

30) Mid-boss death sounds still play when sound is muted.

FIXED IN THIRD UPDATE - RELEASED

1) Rebalanced Gray Mage and Monk AP costs.
2) Decrease in the value of fish.
3) Throwing Stars cannot critical.
4) Agile Strike cannot critical.
5) Treasure chest achievement isn't checked for Kali's Medallion chests (especially Asgard Sewer chest).
6) Strong Achievement for beating the Dark Lord checks for LVL 30 rather than LVL 25.
7) Pandora pub adds to Inn Stay counter.
8) Drinking in the Midgard pub adds to the Inn Stay Counter.
9) Being captured by the Pandorans removes the Ancient Helm from inventory.
10) Increase maximum number of trainings beyond 1,000.
11) Tier #3 cutscene uses male pronouns regardless of 1st character gender. Same in the VIP guard area and Traveler's Vial sequence.

3) Mysterious clouds are unresponsive in "Blue and Yellow" block puzzle of the Dread Woods. Should still be active to allow for another way to reset the puzzle besides L+R.
4) Reservoir Staff incorrectly adds -25% INT state.
5) "Current game" puzzle counter isn't reset in New Game + so Puzzle Master rewards are bugged.
6) Mr. Cope's parents can become stuck and block treasure chests.
7) Experience split is not handled correctly when party members are dead.
8) Can land Airship on Riverdale and not be able to reenter.
9) New Game + bug with Daedalus where he says you've already completed the puzzle despite only having done it in a previous play through.
10) Master Fisherman's End Credits are bugged. He will talk about showing him a Leviathan based on your acquiring one, not showing it to him.
11) Moa Races End Credits are bugged. Talk about defeating the Gray Moa even though you never raced him. Possibly related to New Game +.
12) Game doesn't check if game options are altered when giving Abyss achievements.
13) Can become stuck when talking to Cid after the 3rd Tier of the Hunter's Guild if you haven't talked to Locke at all.
14) Characters can dodge Healing Herbs.
15) Blue Moa passability errors with Snow Slug area, diving in Lakes, and Dvergar Secret Passage.
16) Terran Treasure Hunter achievements are not working correctly in update.
17) Tiling issue with the stairs when going to the Asgard Resistance Hideout.
18) New Game + loads very slowly on some Windows 8 computers.
19) Black Mage portrait changes at some point in the game.
20) Death animation sounds for bosses still play at full volume when muted.


FIXED IN FIRST UPDATE - RELEASED:

1) Extraneous save files included with full game - Cannot be deleted yet but process is started. They can be safely deleted in our next game update.
2) Male character even if female character selected first - A female sprite is used if a Hunter or White Mage is chosen as the first character.
3) Two spelling errors in intro cutscene - Both spelling errors have been corrected.
4) Watching cutscene #1 adds an Inn Stay
5) Typo in Doria, second floor of Inn (outside). Change "breath" to "breathe".
6) Typo in Oakwood after exploring Sewer. Someone says "bath" rather than "bathe".
7) Typo at Lucky' Casino in Lucky's text. Change "with" to "will".
8) Can be trapped by warping out of the Babel Citadel.
9) Red/Green Hexagram puzzle only shows two of four boulders.
10) Saying no to the first cutscene and then watching it via the menu renders character passable through all terrain.
11) In Atticus' cutscene, "alluded" should be "eluded".
12) It is possible to become trapped in the 2nd section of the tutorial.
13) It is possible to become stuck in the rolling boulder puzzle in the Woods of Despair.
14) NullFire classified as both Recovery and Assist.
15) Notes for the Desert Phoenix through the Bestiary should be deleted.
16) Treasure count for the Eastern Continent is bugged.
17) Evil Vines don't appear to be listed correctly in the Bestiary.
18) Possible bug with 100% location Achievement.
19) Toxic Darts skill description may not be correct.
20) Error in encounters if you go over through the tunnel to the southern section of the Southwest Continent.
21) Meta Scan ATK buff may not work.
22) Can become stuck in the "blue and yellow block" puzzle in the Dread Woods.
23) All zeros opens the secret room in Aunlak.
24) Black Mage portrait changes after class upgrade. (NOT FIXED)
25) Need button reset (L+R) for Southern Magi - Trial of Wisdom puzzle.
26) There are several problems with puzzle #50 (the green tile bridge).
27) Approaching Mine Cart in Old Mine from below leads to a bug.
28) In Abyss, the Thief is equipped with a sword. Unequipping removes item from inventory.
29) Rufus' stealable items show a blank rather than gold through Bestiary or Scan.
30) Possible bug in auto-AP distribution.
31) Achievements don't work or lag for certain players.
32) Warping out of the safe area in the Miner's Cave leads to no encounters anywhere.
33) Possible bug with "No running from battles" achievement.
34) Rafts in the GSM have a glitch that cause you to ride into the trees and get stuck.
35) Crystal and Ice equipment out of order in the Abyss.
36) Non-achievement leaderboards are broken.
37) Sound effects still play when slider bars are muted. Can be fixed through F1 menu.
38) Ending credit cutscene for the Arena may be bugged in New Game +.
39) WM spell Immortal does not function properly.
40) Lucky's text on New Game + is bugged.
41) Master Fisherman's text in End Credits is bugged in New Game +.
42) Possible bug with the "Guard Mauler" achievement.
43) Cats in Mr. Cope's house can block chest.
44) Can gain "Very Hard" and "Legendary" achievements by completing game on Hard.
45) Items stealable through Dancing Daggers appears to be bugged.
46) Possible issue with 10,000 monster kills achievement through New Game +.
47) HP and MP percentage buffs have been modified to add percentages then apply the buff rather than applying each buff multiplicatively.

So, I just got back into the game after a couple of months of ignoring it and I'm enjoying the changes and fixes added since then. However I'm currently finishing up "The Mines of Dvergar" dungeon and I've encountered a problem with the sidequest the guide mentions about reuniting Saerina and Zereth Deagroth.

I'm not sure if it's actually bugged or if I've missed a trigger, but currently talking to Saerina then Zereth and returning to Saerina does absolutely nothing. The guide says to go to the secret room, go talk to Zereth afterwards to give him directions then return to Saerina. As far as I know I gave Zereth directions but nothing happens but nothing happens and Saerina doesn't give a reward.

If you wait until you acquire the Staff of Sorrow and Folly, then the side quest deactivates.
Ah You might want to change how the walkthrough is arranged then because if they folllow the walkthrough, they will never get the reward.

I was trying it before I completed the Staff of Sorrow and Folly (I had one of the two pieces though). That's indeed strange that the Staff of Sorrow and Folly comes before The Mines of Dvengar on the guide if doing it in the guide's recommended order causes the sidequest to be pointless.

At least a Full SP Orb isn't really a big deal to miss.
Oh I think I know how its possible to get more than one gorgon head. I think it is affected by the hunter's skill to get more monster drops. Just a guess.

Good point. We'll consider re-ordering the Strategy Guide and making it clear that the sidequest is deactivated when you acquire the Staff.

Good thinking but unfortunately, the Gorgon's Head is not a monster remain drop but is given separately after the battle.
Oh... well just so you know that I have gotten more than one in my inventory at least once in all the times I played the game.
Stupefy somehow adds 10 intelligence instead of subtracting 10+10%, at least with the dark phoenix from the hunter quest.
Tried it with mummies now 2 and it somehow raised their INT from 20 to 48, that can't be right....
Come to think of it I believe I mentioned that happening before.
Also, is fire resistance supposed to block 100% of fire damage? When my mage with Blaze hat ( fire res) gets hit by fire spells it displays a halved damage as a blue number but his HP is unchanged. Same goes for coldr resistance and all others.

The blaze hat and other synthesizable equipment are special and provide 50% absorption of elemental damage.

Null Element spells (e.g Null Fire) resist 50% of fire damage.

The blue number is showing that your character is being healed. Presumably their HP isn't changing because they have full health.

That looks like a bug. I'll add it to the main bug report.
I don't know whether that was intended or not, but the Thieve's backstabbing adds a buff that adds +100+ CRT for the round following the attack aswell. The description just says the backstabbing attack itself has +100% crit.
