That's what I'm beginning to comprehend. Still, it might be helpful to get some numbers. I still have a lot more research to do. I was hoping to make a thorough, more complete guide, but I started with the most useful stuff for any beginning. Hopefully it'll show up if somebody googles "last dream fishing guide" haha. I know I tried that at first.
Threshers are fairly common with the Luring Rod, and they sell for 25K. Much easier to catch than the Blue Whale, which require the annoying bait and are only worth 75K. Even the Giant Squid is only worth four Thresher Sharks. The resurrection/buff Master Rod fish are even worse, only three of them sell for more than 25K. Leviathans sell for x10 a Thresher, but there is only a 5% chance to catch them, and in that time you can easily get ten or more Threshers.
The only thing that makes the Master Rod worth it is running The Abyss, since you get 99 Perfect Bait in one of the green chests.
Getting the bait is a one time thing after you syth it once you can buy it freely from the master fisherman as much as you wish.
Though I do hate maluspiro tentacles and dragon horns with the passion of a thousand suns.
There's no need for me to complete it. When the new patch came out with fishing adjustments, and the new guide was released, it became obsolete, since all the info is available there. I do have the satisfaction of knowing the layout of their guide was inspired by mine, though :)
