But hey, if you have high ID, you have a better chance of finding that RARE RARE RARE opportunity to pick up random holy weapons off the ground instead of just thinking they're just ordinary long swords.
The equipment durability mechanic combined with the limited carrying capacity and very low item identification rates makes it very common for players to use a unknown weapon. The game already has rusted longswords, wooden poles, tattered clothes. While most roguelikes discourages the use of unidentified items, this game encourages this practice.
After all, if a given weapon isn't hitting as hard as you expect, it might very well actually be a shoddy weapon and it is time to pick up a different one.
Enemy strength scales with difficulty and distance primarily, not with levels. Unless the bracelet has some hidden effect that I'm unaware of it really is only good for selling for a bit of silver as there's little reason to cripple your xp rate beyond intentionally making yourself weaker compared to your enemies...which can done more easily/safely by simply avoiding fights for a significant distance anyway.
Clear now. Cheers.
