playing this through Timidity is great
Months later I have found a method that works again, but when I re-extracted the files from my own game the player I was talking about wasn't there this time? Maybe it was (re)moved in an update since I last decompiled the files?
Makes me wonder what happen to it though... I'm going to try digging around the other .wolf files and see if it's in one of them instead.
EDIT: I found it! It's on the website: http://gurugurusmf.migmig.net/
More specifically it's the 3rd link at the bottom, where it mentions .NET Framework2.0 and MIDI
On the other hand, the Bandits theme is a completely different song now. It used to be this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1ZYSI8GNW0
Now it's this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZ-8wJSDD9c
The Demon Lord theme is this for Walk in the Park / Afternoon Stroll (Easy / Normal):

And this for Grueling Campaign / Inhumane Odyssey (Hard / Very Hard):
