Edit*
Think i found a fix. Try verifying the game cache in properties. And it should start updating after that. And the game works after that.
Edit**
Nope stills ame problem. It also wont work on the z8 launcher.
This is a general discussion, not a helpdesk.
If you're looking for their assistance you're likely going to have to go to their HELPDESK.
They make daily rounds, and have moderators for stuff, but mods aren't technicians.
Instead of expecting everything to be a silver platter, use the system AS IS, instead of complaining.
>Logic
>I am salty
>Cannot get game to work
>Too lazy to inquire at helpdesk
>Proceed to write bad review
I'm all for newcomers, but JFC, this is as bad as the newbs who dont read patch notes then flip out over nonsense they should know about because they should have read them.
Please regard the following:
-Windows 8 and variants break the game more often than not.
-The game is not compatible with Linux or Mac for the most part without HEAVY alteration.
-"Sandboxie" seems to prevent the game from working.
-Running Raptr seems to prevent the game from working.
-Having malicious/illegal software, etc. on your computer can possibly prevent the game from running. *Either through your fault or someone else's, they don't really care. Make sure to scan and clean your system of malicious software (whether or not it's yours is a question I'm not gonna ask)
PLEASE CHECK: "pp.log" every time the game shuts down on you. Send it to the helpdesk under technical issues (maybe even billing issues,) and they should respond faster than if its a general inquiry.
Side Notes:
You first attempted to play the game during maintenance. The server was down for a period of roughly 8~16 hours. I don't really know, nor do I care about maintenance duration.
People worry about it, these are general forums buddy, why would technicians be doing moderator nonsense. Mods just redirect and solve basic questions. This stuff isnt basic and is not a part of their paygrade. The times that the mods or Devs do post (with that fancy [AUTHOR]) tag, it's because they redirect people to the helpdesk.
Please refrain from complaining until you send a ticket in, they'll get back to you, but don't expect any forsaken assistance from a moderator. They aren't tech-wizards you know.
1) making an account with them itself. (again the steam acconut for this game and regular account are different)
2) i've ran into a lot of times where if the game you're having issues with is being used through steam they jsut tell you to contact steam.
And i've tried to use steams support tickets lately and they don't work. I put in the game i want to get help with and then what i need help with for the game and then for a split second the ticket info box shows up to type in the information that your problem is but then it goes away as soon as i try to type.
This is moreso just a portal.
Inquiring assistance at Steam won't get you anywhere really.
Please inquire with our "Developer Team" at the Z8 helpdesk.
Why would it be any different.
They're the publishers.
It's their game.
You're the player.
What logic is this.
LS is LS regardless of UserPortal.
Why do you think the store page links to the website.
