Yes you have to pay money to purchase "rare" or "priemium" mercs (or grind for them for no life hours/days if they have an event) just to be called things like cheap, OP, spammer, the "N" word, or Nub/noob by people who can't find a way to get what you got. and perm gear which can be owned forever instead of a duration like (1hour or 6 hours) is common obtained with real money which upgrades a specific base stat of your merc to help it in battle with other mercs. and any other P2W item you can think up in your mind from any other MMORPG is probably in this game.

TL;DR ; Yes it's p2w, if you care about such things. But the game is okay...if you wanna play nothing but male avatar mercs.

Its not pay2win. They removed that feature in the August system update. In the first day of grinding(farming) you can get up to 2 perm heroes. If you put in some extra farming you can get up to 5 perm heroes in 2 weeks.

That doesn't make a game not pay2win just cause they handed out a few freebies. That doesn't automatically make them up to paying players standards. Be honest with the people who are curious about this. There are just limitations non-payers have.

It's not just a few freebies though. My friends who started way before august have tons of free heroes.

Yeah but for recently now its possible to get 6 perm heroes?! Just farm a lot :) And its a fun game just a range of different skills.

This game is both P2W and Free To Play, But it's mostly P2W, However I have been researching/playing the game with an alt account and found out it is still Free To Play.

The game is alot more friendly to non-casher players. New players receive 2 permanent heroes of their choice relatively quickly, through a basic perm hero scroll from 2 seperate quest. Currently an event is on-going where any brand new accounts that reach '2lt Class 1' will receive a Permanent Rare Hero Scroll along with a bunch of other items along the way. Events are always run that distribute style packages, free legendary gears, emotes, etc. People that have played before maybe speaking from what happened previously, but ever since the current publisher took over its been alot easier for non-cash users to have permanent heroes, gears, and styles. The log-in system rewards players on a daily basis for playing the game and on friday the reward is a Permanent Hero Scroll. Theres also milestone prizes for logging in 5/10/15/20/25 days. You don't need cash to have fun playing this game, you can and will be rewarded gradually for playing Lost Saga. (Not to mention theres also a 100/365 day log-in quest that both grant permanent heroes).
