Is this just the original Shovel Knight campaign?

Like do every character get their own campaign with changes like the other games did in the original or is this like the campaign configuration that Shovel Knight experiences but with extra options added on top?

This just the Shovel Knight campaign with extras added on top. The devs have stated on their public Discord server that there's not going to be any script changes if you play as any of the other new playable characters stating quote:

"we didn't want to write a whole new script for each playable character so we've focused on the gameplay."

This product is entirely unrelated to treasure trove.

Yes, but standalone Plague of Shadows is not available on Steam.
