Not to discredit any work they're putting into this (20 characters and online multiplayer on their own is definitely not nothing) but that's a little bit disappointing.

I hope there'll be at least some deal for existing owners since it's hard to be very excited by an expanded version of the game you already own when you already own a copy of game (Or two in my case). A paid DLC would've been more interesting.

Asked again in the Ask the Devs Questions regarding this & I got this response: "no plans to delist. it's a separate product. we're looking into discounts if you own it, but all the stores can make that hard so we'll see."

They've specified in the the Ask the Devs Questions channel that it's due to several legal aspects, quote:

"we're doing our best to include everything from all the platforms in one package. but not legally sure if we can yet.
still figuring out all the cheats...a lot of them to nail down heh"

Additionally in regards to why they don't want to add it as DLC go as follows:

"we didn't want to remove the option to buy any old version. we wanted it to be its own product to be clear it was different. we are hoping people don't buy the old version if they are buying it from now on, so we didn't want it to be dlc. a lot more thoughts than that went into it! it's all very complicated. clearing up the confusion around which one to buy feels hopeless at this point hahaha"

That's at least promising but we'll just have to see when it happens then.
Not surprised that it might not be really possible (or easy) on some stores but I can at least hope it happens on Steam. Surely they need to give me a big discount if they're selling features I had on the 3DS version! :P
