Multiple Wheels for Hotbar and Mutation Loadouts
So far really enjoying the game, but something I just can't get over is that you don't have more than one wheel for the hotbar (and there are less spots) to cycle through for weapons, consumables, gear, etc. You can't even have a full weapon loadout without having to sacrifice healing or gear. I don't know why they did not bring that over from the last game as it really helps round out the combat aspect, especially since they have a ton of great gear and weapons in this one. Having to go into the main inventory to grab a different weapon or consumable while I'm getting wrecked by a mantis is not my idea of a good time... Same goes for the mutation wheel hotbar, I don't even bother using most of the other mutations because its ridiculous to have to go into the main menu, switch to the mutations tab and exit back out while in combat, Instead I just keep it on one or try to remember to change it before going into a specific zone, but then that makes it feel like having some of the mutations is useless since it is difficult to swap through for different bugs on the fly. That being said I am happy they did passives for the weapons as that would theoretically let you use more mutations if I had the option to quickly cycle through them. I d say that you don't need the quick-craft hotbar since if I am in a safe enough spot to craft then I can just go into the main menu. I don't think the message hotbar is worth it either, If have time to type then I'm clearly not being ambushed by a wolfspider and can also just go into the menu. And I know you can do the multiple wheels since you have it for the freaking emotes.... I have multiple wheels for emotes, but not weapons. Which I need. So I don't die.

If you're using multiple weapons right now, you're not playing the game the way it is designed to be the most fun.
You're meant to pick a archetype (Armor set with set bonus) and use a weapon that benefits from it.
Using a weapon that does not fit your archetype will mean you do less damage even if the weapon is more "effective" on a given bug.

You can change archetype of course, but are you really carrying around 4 armor sets as well as 4 weapons all forged to the limit?

This is a intentional design choice they made with G2 specifically so you no longer need to carry 4 different weapons around at all times, or need multiple hotbars to keep all your stuff on.
The multiple hotbars in G1 got added as a band-aid for the equipment bloat, and clearly the devs are hoping not to have to use it in G2. (Or they would have just left it active, instead of turning it off)

Same logic is probably behind why bandages are now HOT instead of instant, it makes it clear smoothies are the go-to healing item when mid-combat. (And thus a essential to have on your hotbar)
(Sure, having bandages, food & water on the hotbar is *convenient*, but it isn't essential)
