Grounded 2

Grounded 2

Grounded 2 performance?
I know the game isn't out yet, just getting this discussion ready for when it releases. I played Grounded, but on the lowest settings, my computer could barely handle it. stuttering and lag every few seconds. I want to know in advance if I will even be able to play grounded 2 on this computer.
I have a 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz (2.30 GHz)
and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU

Not trying to cause drama, but want to use this as a point of reference, I am able to play Wuchang Fallen Feathers just fine with no issues on the lowest settings, yet as stated earlier struggled on Grounded on the lowest settings.

pplayed grounded with a 5 year old pc and never have had any issues..
So gonna be fine, im not gonna be hating before i have been able to actually play it..

Shies ppl what with all this hate, we used to be hyped for cool new releases.. now all thats on these boards is crying before the game even is released in early acces...

Remember Cyberpunk?? released in a full state unplayeble.. yet still in the long run turned out fine... This game is AE so dont expect perfection.

Whant perfection maybe wait 3-4 years so you can enjoy it when it is up to your standard.. me however love early acces, seeing the bugs and the slow change towards 1,0...
I run ultra and it's fine. What other apps do you have open?
The CPU you got is mainly used in laptops, I assume that's what you're using. That could explain the bad performance but I wouldn't bet on it seeing most other games with this same spec combo pulls bigger numbers. Whenever you last played, could've just been driver issues or you got other applications open that's hogging up CPU usage

I never played cyber punk. Those games don't interest me. I personally don't mind lag or stuttering. I have gotten used to it from the first game. I just want to know if I can even play the second game.

I do enjoy seeing bugs as long as they don't prevent you from progressing or playing the game. I think it gives the games a little charm. I remember playing games on the PS2 and running into bugs on so many games. I loved most of them and I grew to know them as features.
with it being unreal engine 5 its going to be more demanding compared to unreal engine 4, i havent seen anything about lumen lighting or ray tracing, or if it supports fsr or dlss for upscaling but i do expect the game to run worse then the original grounded did unless you have a £1500+ pc

Sometimes nothing other than STEAM. Otherwise only google chrome. Most of the time discord though.

This too. UE5 has been a nightmare for most games, others luckily have been a breeze

A small note:
Don't post only your hardware config, post at what resolution you play ;)

Chrome eats through ram. How much ram (not GPU ofc) you got?

I believe the resolution is 1920 x 1080. That is what I play all the games I can get that option for on.

32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable)
I played grounded 1 very well on a 1070ti on hd resolution. It's strange you had performance issue on a rtx 3050. Oh wait, you play on a noterbook? Maybe for some reason the game is not running on your main gpu, but on the intel processor gpu. It's worth a check.

I had that second concern you mentioned happen once with another game I played I believe. How would I fix this if this happens again?

Go into the Nvidia control panel, manage 3D settings, preferred graphics processor and select, 'highest performance'. Also make sure you have your iGPU disabled in the display adapter section of Device Manager
