Putting parts inside fuselage
Currently, you can put engines, fuel tanks, etc. inside the fuselage. This is optimal in most cases, because it reduces drag. Is there any plan to remove this? It incentivizes players to build unrealistic planes. Perhaps it could only be allowed in sandbox mode.

While I agree it's not necessarily realistic, the other half of this equation is they need to work on the drag impacts.

I think it should definitely not bee removed. but I think it should take away from Storage Space if possible.

I had the same thought as well, take away the same volume of cargo space as is taken up by stuff clipped into the fuselage. Maybe do the same for wing fuel capacity as well.
It would still allow us to make somewhat aesthetically pleasing creations by hiding the extra fuel tanks, but make things overall a bit more balanced than the current state of being able to stuff however many fuel tanks we can afford into an aircraft for no downside.

I also like this.
as well the thought of only some items going in while others can pivot on the outside to make a cheat inside some of the space but have a hit box if the main body of like a wing is inside then it errors and won't let you fly as such.

Well if we talk about that, then should the wings have fuel in it like the real planes as well...

i mean, it's a nice an easy game. you SHOULD make whatever you want. If you want real phsyics and planes, play with Kerbal Space Programm.

I like this one because it's easy and planes mostly fly. don't make it too hard with unneccessary stuff, which already is in other games...
In regards to Plane Wings with Fuel Capacity built into them, i've been assuming that the people in the game that built that Wing did it in the first place by crafting the Wing with hollow storage capacity in it, built the Internal Fuel Tank into that space to consume that Storage Space into Fuel Space, then integrated them together into one Part before selling it to us Players for our in-game bucks, then us Players aren't having to waste our time doing the transition of in-Wing Storage Space into in-Wing Fuel Space ourselves and probably not even half as efficiently lined up as the in-game Factory could. Having the game show the process happening for us would just be a useless time wasting extraneous extra middleman. ;)

i think thay shold keep it for fultanks and batteries but thay could add a hollow fuselage that could open and close in the air.
I think this should stay but we need some way to acess stuff in the fuselage. Right now you have to delete it and build it again.

I'm with the person that suggested that batteries and fuel tanks that are put inside the fuselage should take from the storage space. I know this game is not 'realistic', but we are 'punished' by drag on items that are outside the fuselage.. that all goes outside the window when we can just stuff 8 engines and however many fuel tanks we see fit inside the fuselage.
Engines should have clear line of air to work.. or you know.. just get rid of the drag mechanic. like it is now, it feels weird to have one mechanic, but not the other.. :)

(on my 3rd playthrough now and I actually enjoy trying to make the planes 'realistic', although I am putting the fuels tanks inside the fuselage..)

You can see inside the fuselage if you zoom in all the way.

Or you can remember which part of the fuselage you put the fuel tanks or batteries in, say you put them on the inside of the fuselage, which is just behind the wings. And when you want to get to them, you grab the fuselage that's behind the fuselage where you put the stuff you want inside the plane and voila... There's nothing to delete, you've just split your plane in two, which is easy to put back together... :D

What if we use 1 fuselage piece only and just resize it. Can't split it in 2 then:)

If you only use one fuselage that you simply stretch, then it doesn't matter if you stretch one to make two or put two in a row. It's identical financially and space-wise. The only difference is that if you have two fuselages in a row, you can model them better, and you can put anything in between that you don't want on the outside of the plane. I definitely don't use just one fuselage block when building an airplane. It's easier to deform with multiple blocks...
My problem with using 2 fuselage pieces is that I can't figure out how to enlarge the front of the fuselage. I can do that back just fine, but hovering around the front does not give me the black square or triangle to mess with the sizes. So if I make the front fuselage slightly larger going back, I can't add a second w/o having a large rear connecting to a small front section:(
