Release on systems besides windows PC
Will it be released on other systems? I'm Mac and playstation 4 only and this is the only game I've wanted to try since Elden Ring. Pls consider us non-PC users.

You could try using Wine on your Mac as a compatibility layer. Game requirements aren't super high, can't imagine it would suffer too much with the abstraction.

Small Devs don't have a lot of resources to jump through Sony or Apple hoops, has to be a decent expected payoff for all the effort.

The game runs flawlessly under Crossover using D3DMetal and default synchronization on my Mac Studio M3 Ultra at 5120x1440 with max settings. CPU reports an average of 7% utilization and GPU 45%. It consumes about 2g of memory.

I'd love a Mac build as well, but with how well it runs under wine, I'd much rather the dev addresses the stuff on the roadmap.
Mac accounts for less than 1% of gamers on steam. If you want to run games just go for a platform that actually is meant to run games. Or you know follow the above poster and use the workarounds you have available.

Asking a small indie dev to release for MAC is completely counterproductive. It costs money to do that and the MAC player base will never recoup those costs for a small dev.
