Aviassembly

Feedback from actual aero engineer.
To start, love the concept. KSP-feel, easy to get people into the field.

The flight model even seems reasonable, if a little basic. Well done.

That said...

I think you're trying to do too much at release. Progression from biplanes to what looks like a Gulfstream? Lot of steps in between. We should at least be able to create a basic DC-3 with the parts available, but...

It is impossible to create a multi-engine prop. The engines should sit IN the wing, not above or below it. This would also enable something like a DeHavilland Comet.

It is impossible to create a T-tail, which is essential when you start trying high-wing or rear-engined designs.

Also for high-wing designs, fuselage-mounted landing gear besides the bicycle wheels are required. Think C-130 or A400M. Even what was used on the Catalina or Grumman Goose.

Some kind of indicator to show the level of the landing gear. This is essential for anything other than a tail dragger.

We should be able to adjust the end of a fuselage section up or down to create either a straight spine or belly.

The mid-fuselage cockpits should follow the fuselage cross section, not drive it. If any part of the aircraft is going to be square-ish, it'll be where the pilot is located.

There is no rhyme or reason driving CG location. What it looks like you're showing is actually the aerodynamic center, not the CG. We can't add internal fuel tanks or designate cargo areas in a way that would actually shift the CG. Empty fuselage would keep the CG between the cockpit and engine if a single prop using your model.

We can't scale flight surfaces or landing gear. Again, we should be able to create something like a DC-3 with the parts provided in the demo, but the components are all over the place regarding size.

The vertical tail should snap to the fuselage centerline. Likewise any single wheel landing gear if mounted to the fuselage, the bicycle gear and the biplane pylon. We shouldn't have to guess if we're on center or not.

Little comment from the player with "some" experience in very similar games (SP, Juno new origins, KSP):
It is already possible to make T tails and twin and more engine planes with props. You just need to attach fuselage blocks to wings or tail stabs. Basically you will be one creating wing engine gondola out of it.

That's being said, I'd also love to have option to attach props to wings directly and some in-fuselage mounted jets especially cause we don't have fuselage nudge option here (yet?).

Note: i'm not trying to invalidate your opinion, you raised a lot of good points imo.
Again, see my comment about not being able to scale the flight surfaces. If the idea is to stick engines and other fuselage sections onto the ends of wings in order to have in-wing engines or build a P-38, then we should be able to adjust how long those wings are.

If making a T-tail involves tacking tail wing sections onto the vertical as-is, then we should be able to adjust the length of the vertical tip to make the horizontal roots make sense.

I get the flight model is very basic, and it should be for this kind of game. This isn't DCS.

But aircraft look the way they do for a reason.

Not only ends of wings. Whole wing surface allows fuselages to be attached to it. Haven't tried with tail stabilisers though.
Scaling or changing wing size would be nice of course, even if it may cause some gameplay balancing issues.
Thank you so much for the feedback!

You can do it in the full version. I saw it in their Instagram video where they did exactly that.
