I am perma stuck

I recently released an update that should help with this issue. I think restarting steam should trigger the update. Let me know if it works!

It didn't work; maybe make a keybind that inflates/deflates the balloons?

or make a edit plane button that sends you to base and straight into the editor.

Something I tried to do which helped was to click the return to base button then when the screen is still black, press escape. You know you got it when the screen comes back normal and the window for the edit aircraft window is there. You then have to spam the curser above that while you press escape again in the hopes that it lets you in. It took a long while for me. eventually i gave up and came back later with which it seemed to work way better ( I was gone for maby about an hour or so.)

It may not work depending on how fast your "plane" moves upward. I for example only had 2 small balloons on a singular glide plain cockpit. Mine started moving okay fast at first but then rapidly speeding up and going 480 km straight up.

(something that may have helped when attempting it after i got back was I called by brother to see how I just messed up and got "locked" out of the save. The reason why I say this is when I was attempting it before he was not there and it may have been the thing where you get something right until you want to show it to someone. Just in case I was getting it right to fail and thus failed at failing)

It would only cost me 40 minutes but I would rather have spent 40 minutes attempting my trick rather than gain back my progress.
