The issue is, did you install the external patch? If you did after you started playing, then you have to start over. If you haven't installed that patch, then you need to install the patch and then start over.
The developers themselves have stated that saves created with the unpatched game do not work with the patched game.
You will know that you installed it, since portraits will appear on the title screen and in conversations. If the portraits don't appear then the patch didn't install. If the patch did install then you must start a new game. If you try to use save data from before you patched the game then some portions of the game will remain broken.
For the path, you will always get the exact path needed simply by right clicking on the game in your library and selecting Manage->Browse local files. If you click on the path in the Explorer window that appears, it will give you the path there.
To give you an example of this, the path to the game's directory that I used on my system was:
H:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Let's Go! My Harem Farm
That exact string. But I keep my main Steam library off of my system drive, I have a dedicated SSD for games and H is the drive letter. So, unless coincidentally have an identical drive layout, this path will not work for you.
As I stated though, you will find the one that works for you by going to your steam library, right clicking on the game and then selecting Manage->Browse local files. If you find the address bar, which is a breadcrumb bar (you can see components of the path separated by >) and then click on the address bar, it will give you the path in the correct form.
If you have left everything as default:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Let's Go! My Harem Farm
is more likely to be the path that you use, but I can't assume that you are using the default Steam library.
