Hello everyone!

Make sure you grab the patch from the publisher OTAKU Plan if you haven't already to make sure it works as intended.

Start the exe, put the game path there and click on install

I would suggest doing as the patcher suggests and start up the game and while the game is running start up the patcher. It should automatically populate the pathname. Once you see that the pathname is populated shut down the game and then click the apply patch button

I tried doing exactly that and I'm still having the same issue as joshbow559. Do you have any other tips?

It's weird, I redownloaded the game and opened the patch launcher and the path autofilled, but when I closed the game and hit "Apply" I'm getting a new error saying "Steam write error."

Do you have multiple hard drives? It’s going to default to the primary one

How long did you wait between closing the game and applying the patch?
It can take a while between when you close the game window and when the game's process actually exits. You can use Task Manager to be sure.
Otherwise, try waiting a minute or two after you close the game before you apply it.

You can always get the path from Steam itself. If you right click on the game in your library, hover over manage and then select browse to game, it will open the location in Explorer. You can then get the full path from the address bar.

I don't see this myself, but I probably am not replicating your hardware layout. However, power can cause external drives to act weird. Especially if they are more power hungry drives (like hard drives with spinning platters) running off of USB without supplementary power.
If you can, try installing it in the library on your Windows drive. This should give you the answer to that question.

changing the file to my internal instead of external fixed the path it seems nww the error though is "nothing to do! the installed program version is newer than the same as the patch version" does this mean i just have to wait for the website to update the patch?

you can try delete all the files in your game folder then reinstall and apply the patch.
make sure your steam game version is english, otherwise the patch wont recognize

I notice on the site, under patch, it has google drive 1 & 2. Do I need to download both?
