Select/move whole area
Moving machines individually is currently the worst part of an otherwise pretty fun game:
with the big channels a mining module often get to be a 7x7 grid or bigger,
and needing to move to a new one to reset the depth.
there need to be a sane way to do so without moving 50+ tiles manually, doing so even one space is very annoying.
preferably the ability to select and move multiple machines,
or at least an option or machine that would control a channel's mining depth.

If you're trying to reset a channel's depth, you just need to remove and replace the channel. Depth is tracked per machine, not per grid square. Freshly placed channels will always start at 0, even if the previously placed channel on that spot was thousands of meters deep.

in my experience i never benefit from resetting a channel depth. it just sets progress back by hours. I think I'll get some more charonite, but no. i couldve just run a different machine instead of a miner.

quickest multi-move is delete tool then rebuild using copy tool instead of build menu. theres always some down time to use on organization. And if you can just move big areas you may never try a new set-up. youll just use the same one over and over assuming that you already have the design perfect

I found later you can rebuild in the same place to reset,
but I would still prefer not to,
it costs a fully developed channel, but it is useful on occasion:
you can time a big boost to chromalits,
and if you want a third gems stabilizer 2
which you can have permanently active with a shattered stabilizer + void surge
you need to have ~30k something hell gems and a lot of chromalits together
so you basically have to consume all the foam and go back to mining hell gems.
(for chromalits either grind for big container or sell 3/5 annihilators)

you talking zero out your foam then farm thousands of hell gems? thats genius, but what are you building that needs hell gems and not foam? just stabilizer 2?

A third tier 2 stabilizer costs ~3000 hell gems, not 30000.
In fact I'm not sure the third copy of any building could possibly cost 30000 hell gems.
