If you're light sensitive then thats a defect that you have. Its not akin to asking a wheelchair bound person to climb stairs. Its akin to asking a person who can walk up stairs to walk up stairs when their muscles don't work as good. Yeah it might be more difficult but thats life.
Yes an option to minimize the effect would be great but lets be honest and realistic here.... most people don't have this problem, infact i bet a very very very tiny amount of the playerbase has these issues. So no, its not them putting unfair or unrealistic expectations on disabled people, its them creating a game and people who have certain issues like sensitivity to light are going to accept that limitation.
Its great to get them to include this for people, but lets not act like they're some sort of horrible monsters for not accounting for something they probably have never had to deal with. C'mon, at least be mature about the situation.
Flashing lights are well known causes of seizures let alone the eyestrain. A vignette or maybe a wobbly pulse of movement around the borders of the window, akin to a music visualizer, might be a better option.
Can't tell if low quality bait or low quality person.
A lot of the stuff is fine. It's standard for Idle games and the like to have you start from scratch where it's easy but tedious, and over time, quality of life improvements can be earned. This game does a great job at a lot of that. Things have certainly come a long way since Cookie Clicker.
Just it shouldn't have to be for headache inducing flashes.
"♥♥♥♥ disabled people"
Probably will need to bear with him as he's a solo person that exchanged sleep and food for extra hours of work, judging by the amount of patches released in the first few days. But as he'd been listening to a lot of feedback and adjusting the game, I'm sure he'll get to this as well.
Long story short, I enjoy the game and understand it's the work of one guy, so I'm willing to wait.
Now guess what? Flash disabling is currently available in test version. Should be up on the stable version soon, so hopefully that will solve it for ya. You can download the test version (destabilized version) and try out for yourself. If you do, please come back and let us know if it got better of could do with some more adjustment.
