Repair a thing Challenge
I am trying to facilitate a reusable item for 'Repair an Item worth X Gold'.

I crafted a Blessed Fine Pick. Enchanted for good measure. The thing will not wear out. I remember in past version of the game Picks, Blessed/Fine/Enchanted would wear down after a reasonable time.. I have just finished mining out an ENTIRE LEVEL, and this thing will not wear down..

Am I just surprisingly lucky, or have things been tweaked to prevent it for the purpose of this challenge..?

N.ibbe changed the formula for things breaking down, if you have high crit rate is very hard to get rolls which degrade your items.
Get some cursed equipment so you can easily break your pick if you need it.
Crit Rate was the trick thank you.
I found 2 Worn Rings. I have 2 Challenges to Repair an Item worth 30g, and another at 50g.

I enchanted a Ring bringing it Above 50g. Repaired it, cleared the 30g Challenge but not the 50. Did it again, double enchant. well above 50g sell value while in a Worn state. Repaired, did not clear the 2nd Challenge.

Can someone explain where I went wrong or if the game is bugged about this?

Maybe it only counts the base item value before modifiers. I'm experiencing a similar inconvenience for the "identify X" hideout tasks where auto-identifying something with insight or the manuscript charm does not count

I researched that 1 very well. The Answer is that you MUST pay to have it Identified in Town. Any other method by any means fails that Challenge.
