How to apply poison to my off-hand weapon?

The key combination for equipping weapons and rings in your off-hand slots is "left shift + left mouse button", but when I do the same with poison potions, they are applied to my main hand weapon. What should I push to apply it to my off-hand weapon?

i think the answer is you dont, and you have to switch the weapon to your main hand

That's very unfortunate. Hopefully, this will be fixed in future patches, because when I have the option to easily equip weapons and rings to my off-hand, I should have the same option for applying poisons without the need to juggle my weapons. It will be a pretty good quality of life improvement.
