I know Ether One is very controversial because of the bugs etc. But the genre is amazing and i felt deserved its own group. Please help me curate the dozens of 'walking simulator' title out there and let's start establishing what's great and what's no so-great.

There is lot and lot of these kinda games, but I believe that I havent ever played the game as hard as this. Big wide open world with a lot of details and many puzzle variants is just something that is not for everyone - but few quite same kinda games which pop into my mind are
Painscreek Killings (my absolute fav of genre!!)
Tacoma, Gone Home (both from the same makers, short and simple)
Witness (i've heard its hard but not as hard as this)
Firewatch (more atmospheric than this, some good puzzles)
Riven and Myst series (havent really played them, but they were the ones who started the genre)
Miasmata (surviving + exploration)
Odyssey (never played but seems very alike)
Norwood suite and Tales from off-peak city (Surreal and Puzzling)
After You (Similar)
The Eyes of Ara (Wanna challenge? Try this!)
The Wild Eternal (very good and free!)
