Solution on message #15!

Problem: I can't start the game. Every time I try I see the message "preparing to launch" but nothing happenss.Launching from within steam shows error

"Your video card does not support alpha blending with floating point render target (D3DFMT_A16B16G16R16F), which is required to run this game. Exiting...

Im running Windows 7 professional 64-bit. Any idea what could be the problem?

Ok I restarted, tried to launch from withing steam and got a pop-up message with error:
"Your video card does not support alpha blending with floating point render target (D3DFMT_A16B16G16R16F), which is required to run this game. Exiting...

If I find a solution for this I'll post it here.

That's odd. Mine supports it.

Same problem here, but I get no error messages. It looks like it's going to run, but then...nothing. System requirements are all met. Win 7 Home Premium, SP1, 64 bit.

No. It's working for my friends

Make sure you don't have Adobe Creative Cloud activated in the System Tray. Also, what kind of video card do you have?

According to my system is a ATI FirePro M7740 ... is that good enough??. I have no idea about hardware I seldomly play games on computers I prefer consoles xD .

No Adobe Creative Cloud. Card is AMD Radeon 6500M, 4GB

Ran into this issue, and have a way to fix it. Firstly right click on Goat Simulator in your libray and go to Set Launch settings and type '' -windowed '' this will open the game in windowed and it should run fine. This is how i fixed my Launching issue

I'll look into this with more time, in the meantime I installed it in my work laptop and runs fine xD ... too bad I have to get it off before Monday morning :/

It ran fine yesterday for me too. Untill I exited the game. Then I couldn't open it anymore. ATI Mobility Radeon HD 545v

adding "-windowed" didn't help me. window pops up, disappears...no message, no nothing. (windows 7 and HD7780 GPU)

SOLVED!!
After trying to reinstall the drivers using the installation wizard (without succes) I finally managed to fix the problem reinstalling the drivers following these steps:

1- Uninstalled drivers of the current graphic (OS reverted to standard VGA graphic adapter)
2- Downloaded the proper driver for my graphic card (ATI FirePro M7740).
3- Unzipped the file.
4- KEY (disconnected internet and antivirus software)
5- Rebooted in safe mode (pressed F8 at restart)
6- In the Device Manager > right clicked on the Standard VGA graphic adapter > properties
7- Selected Drivers > update driver
8- Selected "browse my computer for driver software"
9- In the next screen selected "have disk"
10- Browsed to the folder where I had unzipped the driver and found the .INF file (located in Packages>Drivers>Display)
11- Selected the correct model from the list and ran instllation.
12- Restarted the machine once more (verifoed in device manager that the correct graphic card is reported)... and that was it, the game was running fine after that.

Thanks to the person who pointed these tips at: http://tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1629498/install-driver-standard-vga-graphics-adapter.html

Hope this can be helpful :)
