Easy, non-boring way to complete the tree-hugging quest
I know it could be done by just standing around and licking something over and over, but that would get really tedious. Does anyone know a quick and non-tedious way to lick things as much as possible?

I think it's impossible to lick more than 1 object at once... so... there isn't.

They are probably gonna change this in a few weeks or even days... or maybe they won't just because it's absurdly tedious and even add an achievement to it... that will be broken and you will only notice when you have already licked stuff 8000 times or more... .-.

Who knows? .-.

Yeah. I mean, I'm only up to about 800 and I'm already getting sick of devoting time just to licking things. (But that could just be me.)
They could at least lower the cap to 1000, instead of 10000. Seriously.
I just hope the reward (if there is one) is well worth it.

the reward from the tree-hugging quest is an instant boost to level 101. (So I've heard.)

You get enough xp to reach lv 101, but there are absurdly easier ways of doing it.
Aside from that, this quest has no purpose.

(P.s: Just heard from some in game bot that a pacth will come out next saturday. Well well look at that, has to be a signal. .-.)

I doubt what the bot is saying is true...
But of course there IS a possibility that it is...

If you have experience with AutoHotKey or another keyboard macro, you can easily use that to press E for you as you go do something else for a few hours.

Oh, I see. I guess that might be worth 10000 licks.
But as Tetrah said, there are quicker ways to get XP.

You are probably (I'm 100% sure) gonna need to reset yours quest later on because some quest will simply glitch, so just don't do it right now.

The Devs are obviously planning A LOT of stuff, you can see just by playing during a few hours that most stuff on the map is either glitched or has no purpose whatsoever.

There are a lot of random behind-the-scenes areas outside of the map, but I don't think it's going to be part of another patch. Most of it's probably stuff from earlier versions of the map that the devs never took the time to take out.

Nope, you can just respawn on those situations.

I mean when NPCs won't speak to you or wouldn't accept quest items. Had to reset all my quest because the Mermaid quest was glitched. Sometimes the "Steve's Quest"... quest... will glitch too.

I don't know what you're talking about. Why would you respawn on those situations? And how do those glitches hint at the devs adding new content?

Going to those places doesn't trap you. Anyway, I just thought you were referring to all the random hidden areas in the game when you talked about stuff with no purpose.

Stuff with no purpose, I mean... hmmmm... Well, there's that horse that is an obvious reference to Epona... she is so... useless that she despawns underwater on that bridge. .-.

There's also that "apocalypse horse" at the Mountain which - Up till now - I have found nothing related to it.

Those Titans you see on the beach are NEVER mentioned by anybody, even though they are huge fish like creatures. .-.

Even leveling up has no point... At least I don't see any difference between lv 1 and lv 101.

If you kick the horses, you get an achievement. Leveling up to 101 also gives you an achievement.

As for the mermaid titans, I think they're just a random easter egg put in by the devs to give players a laugh.
