Goat Simulator

Thank you so so much Coffee Stain!
Long post incoming!

So recently, I have been dealing with depression (family reasons), and I have been trying to play games to make me happy. Sadly, almost everything on Steam is serious or artsy, and all the happy games are boring puzzlers. So I have been talking to a group of people I met instead, and they have made me pretty happy. But I still have depression, and the group only sometimes helps, so I was still searching for a game that I would like. I had seen Goat Simulator in the store before, but I wasn't sure if it would be what I was looking for, and I have a very ♥♥♥♥♥♥ computer, so I expected it wouldn't run. So I avoided it for a long while.

One day I decided to go on my Xbox to see if any of my old friends had messaged me. When I got on, I noticed that Goat Simulator had been recently released on it. So I thought, "Why the hell not?" and downloaded the demo. For the little amount of time I had to play it, I fell in love. It was what I was looking for. It had cherry music, not too much challenge that would make me really mad, and it made me laugh. When the demo time ran out, I instantly bought it. I played for many hours, and had lots of fun. I didn't focus on quests/achievements, just focused on having fun for the first time in a while, sometimes doing a quest or two. Eventually my Xbox overheated, and I had to turn it off and go back to the boringness. I forgot about the game sadly as I had a lot of school stuff to do.

A few weeks later I was searching the Steam store once again hoping to find something. Eventually I checked the new releases and found GoatZ, which made me remember about Goat Sim. The DLC looked really nice, so I checked it out. Goat Sim was on sale for $3.... I thought "Should I buy it? It might not run..." In the end, I bought the game and was hooked again. There were so many things I liked about the PC version that weren't in the Xbox version, such as Goat MMO, mods, and obviously the whole "PC MASTER RACE" thing :P

So now I am addicted. This game makes me so glad, because I don't have to worry about a damn thing when playing it. I just listen to the derpy music and flop around, with no cares in the world for once. Thank you so much for making this funny little game, Coffee Stain Studios! You have made me more happy than ever, and I expect that I will stay this way for a long while! :pleased:

(Sorry if this was badly written, I am horrible at writing :special: )

Heya

Happy to hear you've enjoyed goating <3 ! Sometimes it can be nice with a little break from life and being a carefree indestructible goat is a great way to do it :D

Being an unruly virtual goat can relieve an array of negative emotions. Sadness, anger, frustration.

Well just got it after about 1 hour and hundreds of attempts, Download the workshop mod flappy bird full screen, really helps make it easier.
then deep breathes, don't concentrate too much, just zone out and eventually you get it.
Been gaming for decades, that is probably in the top 5 hardest achievements ever at least for me, maybe i am just getting old. ;)
