I do not see any problem in paying 5$ or 5€ for the upcoming DLC. They already provided said free expansion which offered more and even different gameplay. The next DLC will be something entirely different and believe it or not - they need money to develop it! You can not live from people telling you, that your work is awesome and hilarious. You need money to live and so there is nothing disappointing in it.

And also.. 5$ for a DLC is already a tendency towards a milk farm? There are many other producers and publishers who already make a ton of money and then publish Day One DLC for 30$ and a season pass for even more. This is farming!

I know you don't want to insult them, but maybe you should ease up a bit. :)

(And hey, you don't pay for the achievements, you pay for the game which includes the achievements. Of course I want to perfect the game again, but it is not the main reason I'll spend some money on the DLC. It's about enjoying the game and simply having fun. That's all.)

I see the previous things that were added as just updates, and this actually being dlc, They could have easily charged for the mmo update too but they didn't, So I'll give them kudos for that

$5 for this one is no big deal, I mean, the last two were completely free. One was just a new map, the next added in quite a few things, and this one will presumably add a ♥♥♥♥ load of new content. They already gave 2 dlcs free, most devs don't even give one for free

Try mowing your mom's lawn and maybe she'll give you some money for the game.

Nobody is putting any pressure on you. You do not have to buy the DLC and you do not have to 100% the game.
I know it, because I am also hunting achievements in games I like. And I also know that you make zero progression in life by getting all the achievements in a game. I am about to finish school and already earn some money by myself. I do not know anything about your personal situation, but if there are no 5$ to pay for this DLC, then there can't be possibly any pressure on you to buy it.

Gaming is a thing for your own pleasure. Because this is the thing you choose to spend your free time with. Focus on the things that are really important, such as school or work and your family. Imagine yourself in sixty years talking to your grand-children. What will you tell them? I'm sure it won't be "Oh god, you know.. there was this one achievement - Flappy Goat. I got it." :D

I'm pretty sure that's not true. The achievements go on your PERMANENT record. When you apply for a job they will ask you why you didn't get 100% of the achievements in Medal Of Duty XXIV. If you don't get 100% of achievements in all the games in your Steam library, you will be branded a failure and will probably have to go live in the leper colony (or something).

GAMING IS SERIOUS BIZNESS BRO!

I mean if the achievements only existed after purchase, I wouldn't feel so entitled to get the DLC, but putting the achievements for everyone like that feels like the dev wants to force game owners to buy the DLC.
FFS who needs achievements! will i dont :P

Ooh, so that's why I get less than minimum wage. Now I understand D:

Some will always mind, but it's a common thing. And it's always better to see that the developers keep working on the game and don't just publish it, get the money and drop it without looking at bugs or the community. They care for you! And your five dollars. And their lunch. And your lunch!

Judging from your profile you only have one single game with all the achievements, so it can't be such a big deal for you.. Why even bother? I have 23 of them on record and I want to perfect GoatSimulator just because the achievements are rather easy and fun to get.

And please don't think that I am insulting or judging you. It's really not what I want to, but of course I can't know how you understand my answers. :)

I totally agree with you, even though in this case it is more like a payfence. I bought CoD:MW3 last weekend (becaused MW1 was my first shooter and I really like the MW-series) and half of the achievements need the DLC. And there is your paywall: Four DLC, 56€ in total. Regarding this example I support your opinion.
Nevertheless, GoatZ will be bought. And maybe you are lucky and there will be sale soon, in which you can get it for the 2$ you are willing to spend :)

Where's the source? I didn't hear anything about this :sfsad:

I...wish I wasn't gone on Thursday...Guess I'll have to prepare my wallet and buy it on Friday
One $5 DLC is not a problem.

Want to see a DLC ripoff? Go look at the The Sims 3.

Oh, and by the way, that's the 'first' paid DLC.
I can get wanting to be a completionist, but A) It's 15 bucks and B) Who %100 goat sim?
