Running the game in 64 bit does not improve the performance in any way. It actually makes it worse. Neither the game nor the steam implementation is made to run in 64 bit. This is true even if your CPU supports 64-bit.

Any experience of the game running better in 64-bit is most likely placebo.

The only thing running 64 bit will do is give you more physical memory (but not better performance). What the devs said above is correct. If you are crashing because you are running out of memory, running 64 bit may help that, but otherwise it won't really make any difference.

It was made in an EXTREMELY short amount of time.

I run 64 bit but I only have a 32 bit file.

62 fps using 32 bit

If you want higher than 62 FPS, open the GoatEngine.ini file in My Documents\My Games\GoatSim\GoatGame\Config in a text editor and search for "MaxSmoothedFrameRate=" (under the [GoatGame.GGEngine] section) and change that from 62 to a larger number (like 200) and now your max framerate will be higher (if your graphics card can support it). This will make the framerate jump around much more and won't be as smooth, but for really nice graphics cards, it's nice to run it at 100+ FPS.

At first when I tried the 64 bit version before this last patch it made my game run about ten frames faster at all times using the same settings until after the most recent patch which makes the game run ten frames faster on 32 bit mode and the 64 bit version is now much slower even at lower settings, even measured it with FRAPS, I'm getting about 35-45FPS with all settings maxed at 1080p on my setup using the 32 bit version but using the 64 bit version I now get 20-34 and sometimes it dips pretty low for no reason all settings maxed besides AA but something before the patch was causing me to gain more frames on the 64 bit version over the 32 bit so the man isn't lying, I'm just not sure what was causing it.
