OP:
There are hilarious bugs and jokes scattered through the whole game, and particularly in the MMO Simulator dlc. The game itself is *safe*, but has pretty high requirements given that it's such a "simple" game. A lot of people I know can't even run it, with medium to good computers. Make sure that your system can run it, and enjoy the stupid. It really is grand.
So the bugs that are in the game won't put my system in any danger? I'm asking because this is one of the few games I've heard of where bugs were desired, and not avoided.
tl;dr I'm not positive, but it seems very unlikely that Goat Simulator is unsafe :)
There ARE two parts that I can count, where I will tell you, it'll scare the crap out of you while it's happening.
First, in the Goat MMO Simulator -
there's a section where the server farm is located, inside the mountain. If you bump into the server racks, the shaders, then textures, then models vanish, and finally the game will actually shut itself down and boot you to desktop. This is INTENDED. It's not a bug, it's not going to ruin your game or your computer, and in fact you get an achievement for it (iirc).
Second, in the GoatZ zombie map, there's a 'content under development' area, with wireframes and hit boxes and all this behind the scenes silly stuff. A spout is seen near a large red button that says "do not press this, we mean it, don't do it".
So of course you press it.
What comes out of that spout *literally slows your fps to a crawl* from rendering the oozing npc bodies that fall out of it. Bad enough that basically, you HAVE to quit the game and restart it. It's funny as hell but again it's NOT going to damage your computer, and IS part of the game.
