God help us all if they ever discover the shin megami tensei series.
The PC version is rated M by the ESRB. Console version is rated T by the ESRB. Mobile version is not rated by the ESRB. It's 9+ on iPhone and 10+ on Android. Not sure why it's so inconsistent.
They claim this game contains an actual satanic ritual and that "Evil symbols and constructs are evil because they posses a certain capacity to be evil in and of themselves" - direct quote from their moderator.
Ok, lets roll with this. Video games are made by Man (and Woman!) If a video game npc can be sacrificed to the real (to them) satan, it logically follows that man must be capable of creating life, and endowing that life with a soul.
This would also make anyone who has ever shut off a video game guilty of mass murder. I'm looking at YOU, parents that unplug consoles. HOW many innocent, law abiding citizens of that sim city did you send screaming into the digital abyss because it was dinner time? You heartless monster.
